Lovely picturesque and peaceful site.
The pitch was a good size, well spaced out and well kept.
Washrooms clean and tidy, lovely hot showers and hairdryer/phone charging sockets.
Colin was very helpful and friendly. Friendly caravan regulars too.
There's a retail park approx. 3 miles away with large Morrisons, Tesco.
We would return for sure, only with something to ward off the midges!.

The communication with this campsite was excellent. The site it's self is beautiful and clean.
The views are fantastic.
The facilities were spotless.
Bonus point from my adult daughter on the good quality loo roll! We have booked up again for next weekend!
Highly recommend. We did not explore the immediate surroundings this time but visited Hall Hill Farm and Knitsley Mill.

Quiet rural site with an abundance of nature close by.
We saw a barn owl, herons, stoats and curlews on our walks in nearby lanes.
The site itself has many scots pine and well maintained grass.
The facilities block is impeccable, clean, plenty of hot water even the toilet roll was quilted.
The owner colin is friendly and relaxed. We will be returning.

Absolutely brilliant night away!
Phoned Colin and booked on site for 1 night and booked. Text him my details and information was sent to my email with everything that I needed.
We were going to Beamish the 2nd day of stopping and totally forgot about the caravan (🤦♂️) but Colin said it was okay to leave caravan while we enjoy Beamish (Thank you!)
The site is so peaceful and a big site. We got a selection of 2 pitches and we were super impressed with how clean and tidy it is.
We didn’t see Colin but he was only a phone call away, when we couldn’t get the electric on.
It is a really brilliant site, there’s nothing around but the supermarkets are just 5-10mins away (driving).
Will definitely be visiting again!

An absolute gem of a campsite. So pleased we’ve found it.
Ample space for kids to mooch about.
Pitches well spaced. Excellent location, you feel like you are miles from anywhere.
Clean, well run, secure site. We were very impressed.

Lovely quiet and spacious site with good facilities.
Was a bit apprehensive about its name, and wondered if a campervan and tent would be welcome.
In fact, it was very peaceful, and we saw almost no one else! The gate lock was a bit of a pain but worked perfectly ok.
Would definitely book again if needing a campsite in the area again.

Stayed for one night with friends who hadn’t camped and I’m pleased to say, following their experience they will be camping again.
Colin the owner was very friendly, helpful and accommodating, he wasn’t around during our stay due to other commitments but explained everything prior to our visit and said we could contact him at any time if we had a problem.
Couldn’t fault the site, the grounds are well maintained and secure. The toilets, showers and washing up room were spotless!
As a sometimes lone female camper and camper with friends and family, I’ll de definitely returning.

Colin (presumably the owner) was the only person to reply out of around 10 sites I contacted for a last minute night away. He couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating, got us booked in swiftly and explained where to go once we arrived - in case he wasn't around.
The site itself is peaceful and well maintained with good facilities that were clean and tidy.
If anything, the showers could be modernised but there's absolutely nothing wrong with what's there.
I wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely, peaceful campsite. Setting was very nice. People on site friendly and helpful.
Colin the owner is very nice. Showers not open so can't comment.
There was a wash room we could use. Very clean. Visited Beamish museum. Some lovely countryside.
