We liked how sheltered the site was from the wind and it felt safe - a family site.
We cycled and crossing the A90 is hairy but not the campsite's fault.
Lovely and clean with temptingly warm bathrooms.

I can only iterate what has been said before.
Lovely well kept site.
Toilets 5 star and cleaned every day.
Situation ideal for the coast. Owners very friendly and informative.
Will definitely be back 👏👏

Dovecot is one of if not the best sites we have stayed at, its immaculate from one end to the other.
The grass was cut twice during our seven day stay, not only the grass on the site but the area used for dog walking along the river.
The shower-toilet block is 5 star and it was cleaned every day, it also had a laundry room complete with ironing board and iron.
The staff could not have been more helpful, I will definitely be back.
Recommend 100% you will not be disappointed.

Lovely riverside site. Excellent facilities, toilets and showers were spacious, very clean and well kept.
Will certainly use again.
The site is close to the main Aberdeen road so there was a bit of traffic noise but not too bad.

Myself, Husband and Granddaughter had a wonderful night.
The Caravan Site was relaxing, went for a walk down to the river.
We went to the Reception area for a game of table tennis and bought a few snacks and a book.
The owners are fantastic, friendly and we will definitely be returning again.
Toilets, showers, laundry, wash up room was 1st class, clean and the site is well looked after.
We all would highly recommend this site for a nice relaxing break and the friendliness of the owners.
Many thanks for a wonderful time.
Alan, Gillian and Aria xx

An easily accessed and well appointed site at the reasonable price of £25 per night. Signed from the A90 so you can't go wrong, in theory. DO NOT follow rhe caravan site signs north of Laurencekirk, there is no site here any more. Dovecot is about 5 miles south of Laurencekirk, between here and Brechin.
There is a Co op in Laurencekirk but no fuel, the nearest is a couple of miles south on the A96, or in Brechin, an uninspiring town, as is the coast. Best to head over to the Angus Glens which has some lovely scenery.
We would use this site as a stopover if we were ever in the area again

Staff were very friendly and efficient. Hard standing pitch was level and well spaced out.
All facilities very close to hand. Toilets deserve special mention as they are hotel class ! Clean with separate room with shower and toilet facilities.
Good walks for dogs direct from site. Slight noise from main Dundee / Aberdeen main road but soon get used to it and does not impact on stay.
We will return at first opportunity as only 40minutes from our home.

Well kept quiet site with easy access level pitches.
Good site for looking about the area and a distillery 5 miles up the road
New facilities which are very very good and under lock and key.
Very amenable owners who are attentive without being over bearing.
Been twice before and will be back again

They were the best priced campsite within that radius of Aberdeen with friendly staff and good facilities.
The toilets are set up in a way that gives you your own personal bathroom, you go into a unisex block into your own room with wash hand basin toilet and shower.
There isn't much in the immediate location such as shops and so forth and there is a background hum of the main A road to Aberdeen but the sound of song birds was far more predominant.
I took a walk by the river where either sides of the pathway was strewn with white and pink wild flowers.

Best site I've been soo far as a new caravaner. Love every bit of it.
Friendly staff, very reasonable cost, and because of covid I love the fact you get your own bathroom and toilet per family totally brilliant 👏,
Beautiful location walked by the river and the other people on the site were very nice as well.
