A lovely campsite right on the edge of the lake.
Facilities were in great condition and really clean. There did not seem many showers for the number of pitches but never had to queue even when it was full.
Great little cafe on site and not far to Pooley Bridge and other places locally.

Fantastic location right next to the Lake, which is ideal for water based activities. Really nice easy walk into Pooley Bridge.
Facilities clean and adequate. There is a cafe and shop on site. Watersports centre on site.
Downsides are it's expensive but you are paying for the location.
However if you pay for a premium pitch right on the lake then be prepared for people to walk right through your pitch to gain access to the lake rather than using the other access points.
Lots of dogs off lead on the site during our stay. Overall this site is good and we would come back.

We have been using this site for the last 20 years and the facilities continue to get better and better. If tents are not for you, then there are luxury ‘wigwams’ and pods with full electricity, heating etc. Which are handy for shorter breaks.
The main selling point for this campsite is that it is right next to the lake, perfect access for a multitude of water sports.
The facilities are spotlessly clean on this family run site and caters for all your needs.
The site is situated a short 20 minute walk along the lakeside right into the village of Pooley Bridge where you have the choice of three pubs all of which serve food.
I would highly recommend this site situated perfectly for exploring the north and south Lakeland.

As you will find on your booking information we use your site regular. We have to give it 10/10 very well maintained fields
Immaculate facilities
Lovely hot clean showers
Great cafe with excellent quality food.
Staff go above and beyond.
Lady in office/shop always has a smile 😃 and gives time to chat
We as Mcfarlane family always tell friends & neighbours about your perfectly situated site beside lake.
My young grandchildren came in Sumner and loved being in the water right beside the tents.
Can't wait for next visit 😍

Stayed at this site towards the end of a 2000 mile trip around the coast of Scotland, starting in the Midlands, so this was the 21st out of 22 sites we used.
Lovely position of the edge of Ullswater with access for water sports and it had a cafe and a shop but at £32 per night for a motorhome pitch with EHU it was overpriced.
The facilities, which were new, clean and modern, were inadequate in number for the volume of campers; it was absolutely rammed, mostly with tenters, so their demand for facilities is obviously higher.
We were doubtful we'd get a shower if we didn't get in early so 6am we're in the facilities only the water comes through cold for at least 2 minutes and only operates for seconds at a time so you have to stand under cold water continually pressing the button until the warm makes an appearance.
The ground leading to pitches was just compressed soil mixed with stones wholly unsuitable for the Lake District, getting around it was virtually a dance due to the proliferation of puddles.
The recycling bins didn't have a plastics disposal bin, the general waste bins were filthy and smelly and we never found the grey water disposal.
Sadly it was the most disappointing of all the sites and dampened what had been an absolutely amazing trip.

Great site adjacent to the lake,
Facilities were regularly cleaned and despite site being full it didn’t feel crowded.
Ideal for kids and families in general but not if you're looking for a romantic getaway.
On-site shop handy with cafe and Pooley Bridge village itself only a quick mile walk away.
