Just returned from a short visit to this well run site in a beautiful location. The owners were absolutely brilliant as we had tent trouble and we couldn't have found them more helpful in our hour of need ! The site is very clean and tidy with excellent washing up and shower and toilet facilities and a handy little shop in the village about a mile up the road.
We will definitely be returning to enjoy this lovely, friendly well run site

If you are looking for a friendly, quiet well laid out site in heart of mid Wales I would like to recommend this site to you.
The ablutions are clean and well maintained and there are plenty of hookups.
There is a little stream running down one edge of the site which provided a lovely cool haven during the recent rare summer sunshine.
It is situated along a quiet B road which has very light traffic and virtually nothing once dark.
Machinations up the road does great food and there is a little shop and pub in the village.

Very family friendly, relaxed owners, really well kept site. We were part of a group of 3 families staying over the Bank Holiday weekend including 4 kids aged from 11 to 2. On arrival we weren't handed a list of rules and didn't even pay at that point even though we offered.
Kids playground is nicely done and with relatively few tents on site we were even able to keep an eye on the 2 year old and let her do her own thing there. The 2 lads loved the football pitch and the river (more of a stream really) is another place where you feel happy for the older kids to play as well.
If you're after a pleasant and relaxed camping experience where the kids are well catered for and safe then Cringoed is for you.

A group of us stayed here and being my first time camping, it was a great experience.
The facilities were clean and well kept. The grounds were clearly well cared for. There is a children's playground and games room and a small football pitch. The wash facilities were exceptionally clean (good flow and temperature of water) and there was a kitchen area to wash up. We could also charge our phones which was particularly useful. There was also a place to order eggs which would be delivered fresh the next day. There are ironing and washing machine facilities.
We had trouble inflating our beds and one of the staff sorted it out for us including providing an extra mattress. Nothing was too much trouble.
An ideal camp site if you would like a quiet get away and it is perfect to take children as it is very enclosed. As a new camper, I'm glad I stayed here and it has certainly set a high standard to beat should I visit another campsite. I will definitely be returning.

Have just returned from this beautiful site, after a weeks' camping bliss! The site is laid out very thoughtfully with trees/bushes between pitches, so although there are tents, caravans, tourers and statics, you almost feel like you are on your own!
We pitched right next to the river, affording some lovely walks both around the site, along the river and beyond. Electric hook up was available, and they even provided an extension lead for us as our cable didn't reach!
Plentiful hot water both for showers and washing up, and the place is kept very clean. Especially considering the amount of rain we experienced.
A lovely play area is available for the children far enough away from the pitches to prevent noise disturbance, but close enough for parents to keep an eye on them.
Very friendly and welcoming, and the site appears to be run very much on an honesty basis. Free range eggs, washing machine, tumble dryer etc all available you - just leave your money!
Recycling is available on site, and this goes beyond just waste products - there is a little hut available that contains not only tourist information, but items for you to use such as books, videos, barbeques, toys, and things that other campers no longer require! The site is well situated to get out and explore Wales, with both Snowdon and the Brecon Beacons in easy reach.
The beaches are about 1/2hr away, and are amazing with sandbanks and dunes. Surrounded by hills and valleys, the scenery is beautiful, and there are plenty of tourist attractions around without it feeling touristy!
Although it rained every day we were there, there was plenty to do. The local pub has a very good selection of vegetarian food which makes a pleasant change for a family of vegetarians. Well worth a visit

Just returned from a weeks stay at Cringoed holiday park.
Lovely peaceful site in a secluded area with stunning scenery. Well kept, thoughtfully laid out with spacious pitches. Clean facilities with an abundance of free hot water.
The site is ideally situated for mountains, lakes and the coast, all within a 30 to 40 minute drive. Ideal for walkers but equally for families with children as there are lots of places to visit in the area.
Sue, Paul and Louise are all very welcoming and made our stay very pleasurable.
We would definitely recommend this site to others and will probably make a return visit.
Thanks for a great stay.

Just got back from a weeks camping here. If your looking for a quite tranquil rest this is the site for you. From the start very friendly, helpful and replied very quickly.
When we arrived on site no monies exchanged hands which was a nice change as most wont let you on site until payment has been made. We were shown to a large area right next to a stream. Then we were left alone to pitch at our leisure.
There was a playarea which kept our 2yr old daughter very content throughout the week. Just up above the playground was a football area with nets and a ball supplied which kept our 14yr old son content.
Also we all played in the stream which brought back some happy memories of our own childhood. All around the site were toys of various sorts for all children to play with, which is very useful as when camping not many toys can be brought along as space is short.
The toilets were kept clean and tidy at all times, there is only two showers each for female and male but we found that adequate as the caravans and statics had there own facilities.
The views are aplenty, however no fault due to the site but if you want to go for a walk beware there are no footpaths so if you have a pushchair or a little one be careful.
Stock up on your food and drinks supplies as there is only a small shop just over 1. 5miles away. We did drive to the Tesco which was about 40mins drive away.
The camp site was run on a honesty policy which is unheard off now. But it worked well. For example the washing machine and dryer you just put the money in a box and did your laundry, and there was free range eggs to buy on the same policy.
We will be visiting this site again and do recommend it if you want to enjoy the views and relax, and we would have loved to stayed longer but due to work commitments we had to leave.

Really enjoyable and relaxing holiday. From booking the pitch to arriving at the site, the owners Paul and Sue couldn't be more welcoming. Good communication with emails and telephone conversations.
The site was very clean and kept like this all through our stay. The children were really happy with the playground and the games room. Paul brought some bikes for them to play with and my 4yr old daughter can now ride a bike without stabilizers.
Very very happy we were only staying 4 nights but ended up staying 7.

Our first camping experience could not have been better. From our booking enquiry to the welcome home email Paul and Sue catered for our camping needs. This beautiful site offered everything we needed and more. The site is well maintained, the toilets and showers always clean. A very friendly site.
Located in a fantastic area for long scenic walks. We'll definitely be paying a return visit later this year. Thank you
