We had a lovely holiday at Cambrian Coast.

The facilities were fab - we were really impressed with how clean the toilets and showers were, and the bar and grill was nice too.

There was also a swimming pool which we made use of once and enjoyed. The view from the tent field where we were was phenomenal - the sunset (when it wasn't raining!) was absolutely breathtaking.

However at the expense of this was how windy the field was, due to the wide open surroundings. At times it felt like the tents were going to blow away and was very noisy at nighttime. We still managed to sleep for the most part though.

The location is nice too - very close to Borth where there are a few bars and shops.

Everyone was really friendly and we met lots of lovely people.

I would recommend and would stay here again.

Lovely short trip away this weekend. We stayed in one of the “gold” statics, three bedrooms, two toilets and a shower, fully equipped kitchen and front room with tv and comfy chairs / sofa.

There was plenty of space, it was clean and fully kitted out with everything you could need. Plenty of space on the decking to sit out when it wasn’t raining!

The mattress in the main room wasn’t the comfiest but for a short stay not a problem. Felt like home from home.

The site itself was clean and well maintained. There was a reasonably sized park for the children.

We booked for swimming at 12 which was not busy at all and the pool facilities were clean and well maintained.

The little shop on site has all the basics. We did not visit the on site restaurant or games room.

Overall we would recommend this site and the static that we stayed in :-)

This was our first experience of camping with a toddler and what a success it was!

This was an amazing site with fantastic clean facilities.

Beaches within 5 min drive.

Staff were all friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Pool was nice and clean. Price of food and drink was very reasonable.

We will be coming back.

 Loved our visit

Sad the games room wasn't in use,

Would also be brilliant for a football/ basketball pitch for older ones to play as they didn't really have much to do,

Friendly staff. Caravans & motorhomes very tightly packed together.

The meal we had in the grill on site was very disappointing.

Site was clean though.

Booked a superpitch as it meant that I could stay isolated because of being immune suppressed. Used the Accessible washroom but was disappointed to find that there are no hooks anywhere to hang clothes when having a shower. Or even a hook on the back of the door to hang a coat if it is pouring with rain.

I used the swimming pool a couple of times and I guess as it was mid-week I was the only one in there. Then on Friday other motorhomes arrived for the weekend and despite being told that we were on a superpitch and the tap was part of our pitch, the motorhomers continued to creep onto our pitch to use our tap.

It seems that there is a distinct lack of fresh water taps around the touring pitches.

The chemical disposal point was a good size but needed a hose to be able to clean it completely.

The site seems very tired but is in a very good location.

The reception staff were brilliant especially Barbara who went the extra mile for us.

The thing that destroyed what was a good experience was the attitude of one member of staff when my wife rang on the Friday evening about the issue with the motorhomers using our tap. The receptionist was rude, arrogant and on the verge of being abusive - because of this we would certainly not return.

Nice and clean but no good for older people with disabilities

Not much to do, we were supposed to be there for 7 days but left after 5 days

I am disabled so the only thing for me was the club house and the pool

We visited in May, the weather was a mixed bag of heavy rain, showers, sun and wind.

We’re in a motorhome and paid £152 for 4 nights.

We stayed Tuesday to Saturday, and it was exceptionally quiet until Friday afternoon.

The staff: Sam, Maisie and Barbara were fabulous when we visited reception. Nothing was too much trouble.

The Pitch: we were on Super Pitch 3, which meant that as well as electric we had our own drain and water supply. Or so we thought…

The site:

Like most coastal sites it shows the impact of weathering and is a little faded, but that’s part of the charm.

The ladies facilities were spotless every time I visited, although the light wasn’t brilliant. There are 3-pin plugs so you can use your own hairdryer/straighteners which is brilliant.

I’m told the ‘disabled’ loo and shower lacked a place or hook to put your clothes, but I didn’t go in to look.

Hubby booked and used the indoor pool twice and was complementary. He’s visually impaired and managed perfectly on his own after being shown round by a member of staff - but he can’t comment on the decor or cleanliness!

We didn’t visit the on-site bar and grill as we had a fridge full of food to use.

The site appears to favour the static and seasonal pitches, and gives the impression of tourers and camping being an afterthought. The loos and showers are a fair walk away, although there are loos closer (these were closed for painting, but staff opened them up as soon as the paint was dry).

Water taps are aren’t very close if you’re on the last 2 rows, and there’s nothing to tell people that the super pitch taps are specific to that pitch.

One man who decided to walk across our pitch to use the tap denied knowledge and I politely suggested he looked at the site map given to each arrival so he could locate the water.

The ladies who decided to do the same clearly knew they shouldn’t be using the tap as they did a furtive quick walk, not quite a run. Reception weren’t particularly nice about the situation, despite explaining that I had to sanitise the tap each time as hubby is extremely clinically vulnerable - and as a blind person he had worked out the size of the pitch and where everything was so would be terrified if he came across someone else.

It would have been nice if those tiptoeing over our pitch to use the water had knocked to ask first, but manners among the motorhome and caravan community are often sadly lacking. What annoyed me was the attitude from whoever answered the phone at reception, who very brusquely wanted to know if I’d spoken to the people concerned. They really were rude about it, as though I was the one in the wrong. For that reason, and that reason only, we will not be returning.

Spent the weekend at this site, the receptionist was very helpful.

The on site toilets and showers were very clean and tidy.

I would highly recommend the on site bar and grill.

Will be returning

Thanks to all staff 🙌 👍
