We have stayed on this site a few times, it was always fabulous, but to keep up to date - it has now changed hands and is not an adults only anymore, and most of it has changed to residential. Where we were allowed to pitch tents has now gone! For caravanners though, the facilities are the best!

Is is a great adults only site split into three areas and situated in beautiful countryside. The tent pitches, though limited in number, were reasonably flat with electric hook ups and in a lovely position by the stream. As mentioned in previous reviews the steam trains pass by regularly which gives the site an added touch. Close to the pitches is an immaculate toilet block with pot washing facilities outside. For showers we used the block on one of the caravan areas which is new and excellent. The block comprises 8 bathrooms each complete with shower, sink, toilet and hairdryer. Piped music is a treat! The other shower block in the other caravan area is just as nice, divided into male and female areas. Everything was lovely and clean. The site is not far from Haworth and we visited a couple of the Pubs there for evening meals which were excellent. The site is full of wildlife; deer, rabbits, ducks, squirrels etc and very peaceful. We had the worst weather ever and although we had booked in advance for 3 nights we were given the opportunity pay on a day to day basis in case the weather got the better of us. The lady in reception was extremely helpful, even offering us a caravan stand for our tent if we were concerned about the tent pitches in the heavy rain (incidentally the tent pitches coped admirably in the heavy rain and there was no mud to be seen not even where we drove the car on and off the pitch). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have nothing bad to say about the site. We would highly recommend this site to anyone wishing peace and quiet and a relaxing break. We will definitely be planning a return visit next year.

Just returned today from a five night stay at this very pleasant site. The main Haworth to Keighley road that the site is off seems busy and uninteresting, which is why the site itself is such a pleasant surprise once you get onto it and see the surrounding views and listen to the silence. We found the people at reception a bit curt and unwelcoming, apart from the chap on the scooter who showed us to our site, who was friendly. However, they were accommodating when we asked if we could choose a different pitch to the one we'd been allocated, which happened to be free. We were happy to be in the river section of the site as it was virtually deserted midweek by all the caravanners with season tickets who had left their vans empty until the weekend. However, we were awoken between 8 and 9am each morning by cars leaving the holiday home park just beyond the river section. We had to walk quite a way to the shower blocks, although we had toilets and washrooms in our section, but the park was so pleasant, we didn't mind the walk. The best showers were in the unisex "shower with your partner" wetrooms in the lake area, complete with loo, sink, hairdryer and wash creme! The steam train chuffing past the site is a welcome addition, as are the deer, rabbits and ducks. Two miles from the site, Haworth's main street, with its Bronte heritage, is picturesque beyond belief and the walk from Stanbury village to the Bronte Bridge and Waterfall and Top Withens of Wuthering Heights fame is strenuous, but awesome! We fell in love with the Yorkshire moors this week and will definitely return with our walking boots to explore some more!

This is a lovely site in a fantastic location. The owners have blended the site well with the surrounding countryside. The facilities are immaculate - extremely clean and you even have music piped into the shower block! There is only a limited number of tent spaces, so make sure you book, but they are in a great position by the stream. It is not far to Haworth which is quaint and has a number of eating/drinking places as well as a few shops. The railway from Haworth (which as mentioned in other reviews passes the site) stops by request at England's smallest train station, Damems, which is only a short walk from the site. So if you don't fancy the walk back from Haworth, it's a pleasant alternative. If you are looking for somewhere picturesque with excellent facilities, then Bronte Caravan Park is worth considering.

Just spent a couple of nights in early July ’06 with our new Vango Aurora 600 – well it was a good excuse to try it out! The guy in reception when we arrived was a bit abrupt but he came out to show us where to go. The lady we met later was a lot more friendly and helpful. So was the chap who came out on his little tractor to jump start our car! “Those chiller units do drain the battery you know?” were his words so be warned as we were not the first (or last) no doubt! The tent area was clearly marked but only had room for 6 or 7 pitches. It was right beside the river and to my pleasant surprise from the door of the tent we could see the steam locomotive as it chuffed its way to Keighley! The line is famous for being used in the film “The Railway Children”. Lots of wildlife around.deer, rabbits and ducks. Also the sheep in the field opposite were quite vocal! The site facilities are very good. The main shower block was very clean with big cubicles although a bit of a trek up the hill. All in all a very pleasant weekend and wouldn’t hesitate returning again sometime.

Very nice site. Clean toilets and showers. Electricity available. Ideal for tents as there was actually a toilet and washing facility on the tent side of the site which for a change wasn't a trek from the tent! Nice and quiet, plenty of wild life to see and ideal location to visit the Dales. Only downside was that the pubs, should you wish to use them, were a good trek away and not exactly enticing! Would definitely use this site again but maybe only with another couple where our own entertainment could be made! Adults only site by the way.

We arrived at this site on Thursday 8th June. We went to reception to pick up our key, the staff in the office were pleasant and friendly. We were told we could put our caravan in any pitch we liked. We travelled down the hill and went on the field near the river. The toilets are the best I have ever seen, they were spotless and warm and they have REAL loo paper. The showers are fantastic. We were given a bit of advise from a friendly local to use the new shower block on the far side. These showers are a kind of wet room and they are unisex so you can share with your partner if you want to. The showers are free and very powerful and hot. There is a hairdryer in each shower room which is also free. The site has a lake to fish on although it is very shallow and there don't seem to be lots of fish. There is a stream which you can fish from and it is full of brown trout. There are ducks to feed if you like that sort of thing and the surrounding areas are very nice. There is also a steam train near by which you can catch if you fancy a day out. We were most impressed with how friendly the people were on the site. Quite a lot of people book on for a full season and are there quite often so they have become good friends and neighbours. You can be private if you want to but people were always ready to make you feel welcome. My husband and I are already planning a trip back to this caravan park! If you want peace and quiet then this site would be ideal.

An excellent site to spend a relaxing weekend. There is now a toilet block for each of the three areas, two of which have first class shower facilities which are now FREE (included in price). Caravan pitches are hard standing. We stayed on the bottom (riverside) area. A good number of pitches were taken for the season, and people were very friendly.

This site is great in the main, as its adult only. The tent area is however minuscule and you feel only tolerated as camper`s by the caravaner's`s who appear to live on site. The site is well maintained, however the shower block is quite a walk if its wet and you have just showered, but they are o.k but the water pressure is terribly slow. The wild life is fantastic and we spent hours watching baby birds and squirrels. That was on a few quiet weekdays. However over the weekend the weekend caravanner`s who seem to permanently have their caravans on site arrive and they were very, very noisy. We complained the next day and the warden seemed unsympathetic and told us that a party was going on, this party continued till way after 12.30pm. The very next day there was a tent that had its car stereo blaring very loudly and disrupting everyone else. So whilst the site is great the weekdays and off peak are the safest, if you want a quiet stay. We had our holiday ruined by the noise and we found the site so lovely, but this spoilt our enjoyment of our only break this year. But on the positive side, we will go back, but only off peak, as the tent area is so small, you are crammed in and can hear the folk in the next tent snoring etc. Take your binoculars as the wild life is fab.

July 2005 This site off the very busy main road from Haworth to Keighley is a joy. Down at the bottom of the valley was absolute peace. We expected to hear the roar of traffic but the only sounds were the gurgling river, a few cows mooing, sheep baaing and the occasional steam train on its way to Haworth. The site caters mostly for caravans but there is a small tent field by the riverside. We sat under the shady trees and watched the steam train chugging along. This site is definitely a four star. The showers are now free as is the hairdryer. There is also a fishing lake with rare black swans and coots and in a field next to the reception - a herd of fallow deer. We only stayed for a weekend but we will definitely go back!
