 You must without fail follow Patricia ( the farm owner) detailed directions to the site. Deviate at your peril!.
This is the secret hidden corner of Cornwall. A magnificent CL with views SE&eW across the seas and Widesand bay.
The site is on BBC a slope. I used four 1” boards to level up ie 4” off. No problem. Loads of EHU and water taps. We were basically fully serviced. The Elsan point is at the bottom of the field. I used the car as we were at the top,
The tranquillity and scenery make this site.
A mile away down the steep hills are Cawsand and Kingsand. Some good pubs and eating places, a hidden Spar shop and that’s it, You won’t starve,
It’s the Location that makes this site a must for a return. And FSP depending how you pitch. Bring a tap Y connector and you will have no issues on the only pitch where you may not not have your own tap.
This is in our book for a return trip. Great hidden place with sunsets and views,

Great little site with wonderful views over the bay to Looe.
Access is 'interesting' for larger units - basically follow the detailed directions closely and when you see the farm on the right continue up the hill on the narrow lane and you will reach the church and the site is a little further on the right.
Plenty of water taps- virtually one per pitch. EHUs nicely spaced, bit of a slope but seen worse.
There is a regular bus service to Plymouth one way and Cremyll the other. Bus stop is at the 'triangle' where you turn off the coast road into Rame; - 10 minute walk downhill.
The buses cross near here and because of the narrow lanes they wait here where passing is easy so timings are around 25 past the hour but leave a window of around 10mins either side to be sure.
Close to the coast path- bus to Cremyll and walk back is an easy 6ish miles.
Local cider is available from the Rectory.

Lovely campsite for just 5 vans. Beautiful views from field.
Basic facilities = water tap & electric point. Quiet & perfect.
We will come back again!

Lovely basic site. Views cannot be beaten. Very quiet & peaceful.
Would mention that military rd can be very busy with traffic including double decker buses. We arrived late afternoon Sunday & it was fine. Leaving at 11 the following Sunday it took an hour to get back to the A38 due to the traffic - Sunday drivers not wanting to scratch their cars & not confident on narrow roads.
Directions good until you reach the junction needed to get to the CL. , which doesn't actually have Rame on it at all & is off putting because sign also states unsuitable for buses & large vehicles, It is narrow but manageable & the site is worth it! Could not call owner to check here either as no phone connection.
Agree that waste disposal is quite an uphill walk. Took the cassette in the car boot. It's a holiday after all
Owners attentive & very helpful but not intrusive.
Wifi & phone connection patchy. TV good.
Overall we loved it, we will be back soon & can recommend it.
Difficult to rate site facilities as there aren't any other than water & waste disposal. Likewise child friendliness.

The sea views are excellent and I spent a lot of time looking out to sea.
Managed to find a level spot.
Arriving back in a motorhome in the dark after a day out was scary with the narrow lanes and the seaward edge of the field seeming to slope away to infinity.
I didn't find the elsan tipping point after a 30 minute search and left with an almost full tank.

We stayed here for the weekend and absolutely loved it! It's quiet and peaceful with amazing views. We are quiet people and if, like us you don't like crowds, traffic, clubhouses or noise then this is the perfect site. It's OK to tow the caravan to but it's not for the fainthearted - you tow along the top of the cliff!
The only facilities are the electric hook-up and toilet disposal and the nearest civilisation is just under a mile away in Cawsand. The owners are very pleasant and once paid they just left us to our own devices. £15 per night is a little pricey but worth it for the views and the tranquillity; as it's a CL I trust there are never more than five units at any one time. We are fairly local and will be back.

We love the area and have stayed in Cawsand regularly as we only live in Plymouth.
We booked 7 nights but due to forecast of Southerly gales decided to leave after 5 nights.
The site is basically a field overlooking the sea with EHU, water and a toilet disposal (cesspit). £15 a night I think is good value for the solitude and views.
It was ideal for us as we just wanted to get away from the crowds over the Jubilee weekend!
A great site to chill out, relax and recharge the batteries. Not so good if you're looking for posh facilities and clubhouses!
There are some great walks from the site, nice quiet cycle rides and ample places to swim or kayak. The villages of Kingsand/Cawsand are lovely. Small supermarket in Millbrook and a Sainsburys (along with other small town shops) in Torpoint.
We will be using the site regularly now we have a new caravan with all facilities on board.

This site has great views but absolutely no facilities except electrics and water, plus at a distance, chemical toilet waste facilities. It is a brilliant site if you don't have great expectations for a family and facilities, but if you require just basic accommodation at a reasonable price this is not for you at the current prices.
The site is close to the South West Coast Path so if that is your requirement this may be or you.

Worth one night for the view but could be viewed as expensive if you want facilities. I watched the start of the Transat from here together with all the other boats/ships/trawlers/yachts/ in and out of Plymouth. Lovely section of the coast path. If you like a beautiful location this is it. If not sell the van and go to the place in the midlands with all the fairground rides.

Lovely views and walks from this site. Backs onto churchyard.
Electric hookup is the only convenience as there are no toilets or showers.
Can be very windy and chilly.
Pub is a good walk away in Kingsand, on a road with no pavements.
If you have a caravan then take it steady as the roads are narrow and the double deck bus goes on the same roads. The road to Rame is a dead end, but there is a small car park at the end by the coastguard hut where one could turn,if you miss the gate to the site.
Would have gone again in 2009 but they have put the charges up to £15 a night which I feel is rather steep.
