Warm welcome from hosts. Good location to go and explore (by car) beautiful Shropshire.
Pretty site and quiet, heard several different owls and random goose in the middle of the night!
Busy bank holiday weekend which stretched the facilities of 3 shower/toilet rooms and one stand alone toilet (maybe have portaloos for busiest times for those who just need the toilet?). They were kept clean though but could do with a floor squidgy to clean after a shower.
Quiet site, small play area. Pub 2 mile walk away.
We had pitch behind barn and ground was quite stony a few cms in, so take good pegs.
A visit to Hawkstone Park Follies is highly recommended!

We booked this for a Saturday/Sunday, leaving Monday.
If your approaching from Wem the roads are not to bad but if you come from Whitchurch direction, be warned, the roads are narrow in places. My wife had her door mirror smashed by a boy racer who roared past at 40 mph. Even though she was against the bank.
This is a small site with all the facilities you will need, in a quiet area in the countryside.
I paid £76 for two nights, We were on pitch 10, and for once tent pegs went in easy with the weight of your foot.
A nice place.

Well we have just arrived back from our two night stay at Abbey Green and we all loved it.
The new toilets and shower facilities are great and the washing up and games room are a bonus too. One thing to watch is you may need an extension on your Electric Hookup, not a problem but worth noting, 50m would be ideal but we have 35 and it was fine from the pitch we where on.
The owners are lovely and made us feel very welcome, so did the chickens!
My 5 year old son loved it, especially feeding the chickens and making a new friend with the owners son who he will not stop talking about now.
Perfect weekend topped of on Sunday with the sight of scrumptious cakes.
We will be back very soon

Arrived here last minute to a lovely field all to ourselves. The current owners have only been there 12 months so I would personally ignore all other feedback before then. They are renovating the farm house so there is a static caravan by the shower/toilet, which is temporary. The area was extremely quiet and picturesque. Would probably not suit children as there is little to do there, but I suppose it depends on what your children like to do. It was ideal for us! Only 5 minutes from a lovely pub and petrol stations. We only heard 1 car on the road on the first night. Will definitely go again as it was the first time in our tent and we were just getting used to everything. Would have stayed another night but forgot pillows and cups! The lady gave me some of her sweet peas and I still had them 5 days later. Very kind owners and willing to help with anything. Sooo peaceful.

The campsite and farm is very nice indeed and would go back to it as the owners are very friendly and they go out off there way to help you with what you need. The location is good and the locals are very friendly. Is very nice for shopping and pubs spread around and it is not far from other towns and citys within driving distance and bike rides

We stayed for a weekend, when all other sites were fully booked. The 'site' is very small and you pitch on the farms front lawn which was well maintained flat grass.
The weekend we went was scorching - we were the only ones there on Friday night and another couple brought their tent on the Saturday.
We enjoyed our stay - their was EHU and a shower / loo by the farm - the owners friendly and laid back - facilities a little rustic but did the job.
I think the front bit would poss take about 3 units and there was an area at the back of the farm that would probably fit another tent.
Our 2 boys enjoyed the big trampoline and the cockerel - we would have preferred it on our bbq though after waking us up early ! - Very peaceful site - you get 4 or 5 cars coming up the lane - in a day !

Arrived at site, lovely surroundings, very peaceful. Greeted by the lady owner at the farm, directed to our pitch, which was a boggy patch of grass at the back of the farm. The caravan sunk. The farmer pulled us out with his tractor, and in doing so ripped of our rooflight leaving a gapping hole in the bathroom ceiling. We were re-located in the main field at the top of the hill, which was not brilliant, but acceptable. Despite this we had a lovely weekend, our child really enjoyed the farm and all its friendly animals. The owners are very nice people and cannot do enough to help you along. The site is very peaceful and remote, the downside to that is you have to drive for any provisions you may need. All in all we have enjoyed, but will not be returning.

I am sorry to disagree with previous reviews, but I certainly could not recommend this site. The field that was available to pitch our tent was literally covered with cow pats, thistles and stinging nettles. I even had to pick up a load of broken glass left behind by a previous camper to ensure the safety of our children. Yes, it is lovely to stay on a working farm, and the children absolutely loved it, but the condition of the field was dire. I would point out that some of the units were located on the farmhouse front lawn which looked fine. Had we been lucky enough to secure a pitch there, I am sure we would have had an entirely different experience.
