Please note, as from 2011 this has closed down, to enable the owners to concentrate on the holiday cottages at the location.

Just returned from Brickyard Farm after a very enjoyable weekend, this site is under new management and they have a lot of experience in the hospitality industry so this is going to be the site everyone wants to visit. It is a beautiful site with everything visitors could ask for,& cater for all age groups. The shower/ toilet unit is a little bit sad at the minute but I believe plans are a foot to refurbish. My only concern recommending this site is it will get so popular they will not have room for me when I return.Nicest site/people I have been too.I WILL RETURN.

We have just spent 3 nights at this site and found it very enjoyable. It is peaceful, quiet, and well maintained. About 10/12 mins walk from Banham Zoo.
The new owner is going to update the shower / toilet block in the future. This is the only thing to let it down, as they are dated and in need of a refurb. We will be returning in the near future. Recommended.

Had a very pleasant stay here for 3 nights. The site is clean and very well kept. It is small enough that you are not left feeling overcrowded, but large enough that you can get a good communal cricket game going. The site also has lots, and I mean lots of play space for the children to run around, horses, ponies, sheep and chickens all add to the enjoyment. Again these are kept well, so other than enjoying them there are no unpleasant smell etc! The owners are lovely and very helpful. Around enough if you need them, but not interfering in any way. An added bonus is an indoor swimming pool that you can book out (at a reasonable fee) for private use.
I do need to point out a few negatives from my point of view. Though the facilities are kept clean, there are only two toilets and one shower for the whole site. These are quite old and need a little attention. They also serve as the toilet and showers for the pool, so often get very wet and a little overcrowded.
I also feel that there needs to be some sort of high bolt lock on the pool room. It is in the same building as the toilets, so you can not let small children go to the toilet alone as they would (and did) let themselves be drawn into the pool area.
Other than these points it is a fantastic site with good local shops and amenities.

We've just come back from a week of camping and spent 3 nights at Brickyard Farm. We selected this site for 2 reasons, 1) it was suggested by our neighbour and 2) it was close to Banham Zoo. The site is very very clean and small so that means no noise. Our kids loved the place because of the small farm they have with a few horses, chickens (which you can buy the eggs off the owners, excellent eggs too), and a couple of sheep, which as we were told were rescued from Woodgreen Animal Shelter. There are 2 large fields that the kids loved to run around in an play. There were a number of other campers over the time we spent there that also had kids. They all had a great time playing.
The site owners were friendly and walking about the site a couple times a day to check how people were getting on.
The washing/toilet facilities are alright but if I had to complain about anything it would be the lack of water pressure in the shower. Otherwise it was fine. There is also an indoor swimming pool on site that can be used by campers when booked for use and for a small fee.
We really enjoyed our time at the site and it's quite possible we would go back again one day.

We wanted a relaxing weekend and certainly had it at this lovely site. The camping field is well kept and in a lovely location - just a 10 minute stroll to Banham Zoo. The swimming pool is a real bonus and we had it to ourselves for an hour, although it was disappointing that the jacuzzi was out of order. The toilets and shower were basic but served the purpose. The winning part of this site is the location, views and the chickens and horses. We will definitely return to this site!

Just returned from this very peaceful and well kept site. Was greeted by the owner who showed us where we could pitch the tent and showed us the facilities- a weak yet hot shower, toilets, indoor pool and jacuzzi which could be booked for private use.
We were told that the site was fully booked when we arrived, but there was still plenty of space. The caravans and tents were based around the edge of the field and there was a big space in the middle for frizbee playing! Toilets and shower were basic but well kept. Barely any noise from nearby roads. Us and another couple had a lovely time and would definitely return.

We chose this site as it was our first camping trip.
Very nice helpful owners, with indoor swimming pool, toilets and shower. All where nice and kept clean.
The pitch area was fantastic. The field is gated and holds 5+ pitches. Electric hook up is available if required. Nice flat and well kept pitches.
Huge area for playing games and there were swings there aswell (ideal for keeping the kids occupied while putting the tent up).
Only 600m from Banham Zoo and the local shop, takeaway and restaurant and the pub.
Lovely peaceful site and we will definatly return again.

Booked in for 2 nights as I had bought a touring caravan which needed a bit of T.L.C. So needed somewhere local to test out things. Well was amazed how the site was kept so clean. The bonus here is the indoor swimming pool, which I had booked for an hour, also a jacuzzi which was a place in heaven. I guarantee it 100% My boyfriend and I were so relaxed there (we even went topless & bottomless) get the picture. Definately going again very very soon. Thank you to the owners for making a weekend to remember.

July 2005 Fantastic family run campsite. The owners were very friendly and made you feel very welcome. There is plenty of space to play ball games away from where your tent or caravan is pitched. The best thing about the site is the jacuzzi. Sitting in there we felt like we were in the Big Brother House! There is a heated indoor swimming pool although we found it a little cold for our small children but is forgiven as the area where the pool and jacuzzi are is extremley clean with excellent changing facilities and seating area. The site is quiet although music could be heard from a cottage nearby who were playing very loud reggae which was fine with us youngsters but maybe not everyones choice! All in all a superb campsite and we will definitely be staying there again
