Location good,
Facilities poor for the cost of 28.50 night,
Parked on grass which had been left when cut so all over the van,
No information for area available, good job we found some very helpful locals,
Shower block freezing,
Left early.

Not a bad site at all. Ok, facilities are on the more basic side, but what can you expect for the good prices charged?
The Bad:
Previous reviews about the on site showers probably hold some truth, and after using them once we used our onboard facilities. I've seen and used worse. A little investment would raise the game - fix a shower curtain, provide squeegee mops to clean up, soap/bottle tray in the showers.
And that's all the bad.
The Good:
This busy site was respectfully quiet. Everyone respected the night time quiet rules. Good level pitches - Milenko leveller was not required.
The site is clean and tidy, no litter was seen anywhere.
Access through Esholt village was easy - the other lane requires negotiating an old narrow bridge.
The Woolpack - This is the original frontage used in Emmerdale. We found it a good place. Friendly staff, dogs welcome, good beer. We didn't try the food. We went a few times in the week.
Morrisons is just a few minutes drive away.
Good location to access the attractions of the Dales - Riddleston Hall, Ilkley Moor (Bah't tat), Bolton Abbey, Howarth & Bronte Parsonage Museum and Bronte Waterfall walks, Malham Cove (Harry Potter!) with Janet's Foss (swimming pool!)and Gordale Scar and more.
We will probably use Esholt as a base for a holiday next year.

The electric hook up was really good value for money.
The bathrooms however were not cleaned everyday and for two days a toilet was blocked with faeces.
Though it was advertised on site there was a washing machine, staff said I could not use it due to covid.
It is beautiful countryside

The wool pack near by was shut unfortunately!
Likes:
The field was big and plenty of room and clean
The pitches were flat surfaced.
It was very peaceful and quiet
The site was not doing anything in regards to the COVID-19 restrictions! Which is very disappointing
Dislikes:
Got told we were not allowed to use a heater for more than an hour due to someone previously blown their fuse box!
The family that was with us was told on the 2nd night that they had run out of electric because of their heater! Even though they didn’t have any other electrical equipment other than phone chargers! As they were using ours as it was a massive family tent !
The toilets And showers were very dated!
They were cleaned in the morning but they were not maintained during the rest of the day!
There was mud everywhere so I felt like when showering I wasn’t even clean
They was no soap to wash your hands at the toilets! Nothing to dry your hands with in the toilets
No hand sanitizer anywhere apart from on the walls on the cricket ground!
No mirrors in the shower room or anywhere to do hair brush your teeth
In the women only toilet you couldn’t breathe having a shower as the ventilation was none existent
The ceiling was mouldy due to this!
When you got changed after the shower water was dripping on your clothes from the ceiling
I would not be staying here again unfortunately

We stayed for two nights in our caravan, alongside family members in their camper. We wanted to do some cycling on the canal towpath.
There is access to the Leeds Liverpool canal within a short cycle ride from the site. The site is level with grass pitches. Very reasonable cost although extra charges apply for EHU.
The toilet and shower blocks need a bit of refurbishment, the lights are in motion sensor. You get codes for the doors as they are shared with the sports club. Men and women use the same blocks. The warden is very helpful.
We didn’t use the bar, but we did walk up to the Woolpack pub for a meal, about 10 minutes walk. This was friendly and nice food, although they stop serving at 7 pm.
We will return to the site because of the great location, close to Saltaire. The canal towpath is wonderful.

Recently stayed 5 nights at this site,
Things are a little basic but this is reflected in the price,
Tidy, clean level grass pitches, beautiful setting use of bar/social club whilst staying if there's one thing lacking its a shortage of a rubbish disposal facility.
You have to take your rubbish away with you. Its a quiet site at night, There's endless attractions and many walks.
I will be back as there's too much to do in one trip, true value for money

Well this is a strange site, there is nothing really wrong with it, it has basic toilet and shower facilities which are shared with the local cricket club a water tap and a chemical waste outlet (a toilet) and skips for rubbish.
It is two sites in one, part is a netted football pitch the other the main field which has a lot of seasonal caravans and work vehicles on it which means a lot of noise early on in the morning with vehicle movement.
The football pitch is more for short term stays and unfortunately had a group of travellers in one corner, they had no respect for any of the other campers urinating etc in the bushes being drunk until the early hours and LOUD music until 2 in the morning and the staff made no attempt to do a thing about it.
We left the next day after a sleepless night. This isn't really the site owners fault but it wouldn't happen at one of the big named sites who have gated entrances.
So would I recommend it ? probably not and make sure you approach it from the village end or you could get stuck in the narrow roads and small bridge
