Return visit to this site. We only travelled 6b miles from Torbay and we had to be off that site at 10. 00, with this site being 1. 00pm arrivals I telephoned the day before to check the car park next door still allowed motorhomes. The lady warden called me back and was really helpful, we parked up and had a nice walk along the river and a coffee at the cafe prior to arriving on site at 1. 00pm. Really good wardens very efficient with check in
The site has no electric hook up and is mostly grass but neither was a problem we enjoyed three lovely sunny days so the solar panel managed well and it was a nice change to have the whistle kettle on the gas hob.
Totnes is a lovely little town with lots of quirky shops to browse and on Saturday a great local market
We love this area so I am sure we will be back again
The wardens are a credit to the CMC very hard working and cope very well dealing with a few awkward customers
Only improvement would be a motorhome serve point as they do not have a drain to enable the water to be emptied out. Wasn't a problem for us as we were moving to another site so just emptied on arrival there

Amazing service as ever, on a lovely site.
They have done their best to accommodate those who need the toilet/shower block, despite having to put themselves at risk of Covid19 to do so.
It was very much appreciated as they are a lovely hard working couple who always make our stays comfortable.
The site is well maintained, grass cut, tidy, and flowers in bloom.
We will be going back again as soon as we can.

Love this site, returned after a great week last year, the site is well managed and due to the virus this year the toilets are on a unisex system with one person at a time, this works very well and we didn't find it a problem.
Showers are always hot and clean. The location is superb with everything you want on the door step.

Very well managed, from arrival to the toilet/shower block management.
Great location, walking distance to town.
Friendly staff. Spacious pitches.
Despite being in a town, still picturesque.

What a lovely campsite, quiet and clean, good tv reception, 5 mins walk from town, good helpful wardens.
Mostly grass pitchs with no electric hook up. There are 4 raised herb beds with a help your self sign on them,
Will definitely return next year as there is so much to see and do in the area.

We were in the area and was looking for somewhere to stay for just one night.
The wardens were really friendly and helpful. Place is spotless and is highly recommended. Actually appreciated no electricity as the phones and iPads ran out of battery.
We actually had to talk amongst ourselves hehe! Was great, booking back here later in the summer! Not the quietest place I have been to, but you can't be in town and expect quiet.
Slept well, had wonderful walks and now also looking to go back to enjoy the boat, train and bus trips on officer locally.

Yet another splendid few days at this site. The wardens couldn't be more helpful.
This site is in a wonderful position and even after several years of coming back we still find new things to do !
Yes there is no electricity but, hey, we have these things called inverters now if you must watch TV.
The amenity block is a bit dated but is kept spotless, always.
All in all one of the best sites we visit, thank you.

Our first outing in our Romahome and first visit to a caravan site so don't have anything to compare. Booked by telephone with a really helpful (and very patient) lady. Lovely welcome from reception staff.
Chose to be away from road so pitched against wall - perfect for us apart from being next to a couple with a blaring tv - but that's hardly the fault of the site.
The loos were old fashioned but spotless. We ran out of camping gaz overnight but there wasn't any to buy (apparently they only keep one bottle and it had gone) - bit of a disaster for our planned breakfast as with no hook up we couldn't even have a cuppa.
Went to The Green Cafe at the top of town for a superb breakfast in their gorgeous courtyard garden.
2 suggestions - the loos are closed at 11. 00 for 30mins for cleaning - very annoying if (like I did) you arrive at 11. 01- would be helpful if the site made either the disabled or the other gender loo available to all for the duration of the clean.
We found the method of reserving your pitch a bit odd - you have to leave something non valuable to show its taken. As Newbies we didn't have much so had to leave one of the children (joke!) Not sure why you aren't just given a reserved sign to put up - but maybe this is the norm?
Totnes is fabulous and we are delighted to have found such a convenient site - will be back again very soon. Thanks so much to the super friendly staff who made us feel very welcome.
