A one night stop over.
Very clear instructions re arrival and facilities.
Small site with good tarmac access.
Basic facilities which met our requirements and were very clean.
We walked into village and enjoyed a lovely meal in The Anchor pub.

Centrally located for us to walk and visit places, quite happy with stay and would go back without a issue.
Tucked away up a side road, but shop, pub all within walking distance of campsite.
Only thing to change would be having better bins out for rubbish and perhaps a separate doo poo bin as well.

Excellent place to stay and could have easily stayed longer.
Lots of space between the hard standings and great walks for my dog.
A good pub serving great food is but a short walk away So OK,
The shower facilities may not be state of the art but they’re clean and functional.

Good site for footpaths and cycle trail nearby. Note that The Anchor pub does takeaways, as well as eat in/alfresco, though currently open Wednesday to Sunday. We had a good meal at the Dorset Arms, about half an hour’s walk by footpaths.
The shower functions well, though is of the concrete and building block type. Ample soap, hand gel and toilet paper is supplied, though no cleaning materials, and campers are told to be responsible for cleaning the facilities.
Slight downsides: the combination padlock and chain on the main gate is a bit fiddly going in and out, but you get used to it. The hard standing surface, which I’m told is fairly new, is made of a black gritty material which tends to get walked into your unit, so take a brush or broom!
The village is pretty, though sadly we didn’t get to try the Pooh Corner tea room.

An excellent small quiet site with a mix of hardstanding and grass.
An easy footpath into the village and we can recommend the Anchor Arms, 10 min walk across the fields.
Good clean shower and toilets.
We will certainly consider this site for future visits to the area.

An excellent location, above Hartfield village with its lovely church and welcoming pub.
Great base for countryside walks and cycling.
This small site is superbly maintained and a really nice quiet getaway.

We stayed there to get to the Forest way national cycle route> It was well located for that and the local area.
Unfortunately the path surface was too rough for enjoyable cycling. But we did get to East Grinstead by bike!
Lots of hills but good fun, a great butchers and local pubs even in lockdown.

A good basic campsite, exactly what we needed after cycling from the London Eye along the Avenue Verte.
A good shower, then a short walk to the Pub for dinner.

Couldn’t have picked a better spot. Very easy to find. A lovely clean site with good hard standings with electric hook ups.
It was very quiet and peaceful with loads of great walks within a stones throw. Facilities were adequate for the number of standings and very easy to dispose of waste water etc.
Walked to Dorset Arms In Withyham, about one and a quarter miles and enjoyed a great lunch with Daughter and Son in law who were also camping there before their trip to Devon.
Definitely visit again.
