Disappointed with the site. We only stayed 2 nights but both mornings the electricity went off. No one from the site bothered to come and inform anyone so after thinking something had gone wrong with our van we realised several other people were doing the same checks!
The showers are very modern and warm but each cubicle is only big enough to shower in so the water hits the door where clothes and boots are! Crazy!
There are only 4 showers and 4 toilets for a large campsite so glad we were here out of season

A lovely quiet campsite with excellent facilities.
Close to Bamburgh and Seahouses, ideal for walking and cycling.
We had an enclosed pitch but did not feel closed in and enjoyed our nights stay.

Friendly reception and great facilities in excellent location.
Easy walk to Seahouses and beach, shame lanes and not footpaths.
Will definitely consider a return visit next year

Lovely site overlooking the Northumberland coast, with Bamburgh castle in the distance.
Good size pitches, and a wonderful facilities block.
Will definitely return when in the area

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Springhill Farm, our first time in this part of the country.
The weather was not the best considering it is June, the winds for the first few days were challenging but it is what it is.
The hard standing, is just that, very hard, and rock pegs are needed.
The site is immaculate and so peaceful, even when full, probably the nicest site we have stayed on.
Womens facilities were wonderful and warm, only 4 showers, but never queued once.
This site is a great base for all the things to do in the area.
We walked into Seahouses several times and walked to Bamburgh castle. A trip to the Farne Island is a must.

This was our second stay here the first being 2018 in July. We arrived around 8. 30pm and our name and pitch were on a board at reception.
We pitched up and got the awning up as our son and his partner were arriving around 10, 30. The site is well laid out with plenty of shelter, The showers and toilets had been refurbed since our last visit which were much improved.
There's pods on site as well as cottages all within the site. We couldn't get the wi fi to work on our phones even when stood at reception? We were gone early morning and returned from touring the area late on and reception was closed so couldn't really query?
One morning I needed the toilet and there was no paper in the cubicles even though there's usually 2 rolls in each, I gather this was the kids on site taking it for a laugh, it wasn't funny!
The dog walk is tiny in some trees fenced off so I walked the dogs around the site and cleaned up after them. There's no direct walks from the site it's mainly roads which are busy.
The area is great with Seahouses not far by car or on foot, Bamburgh castle, holy island, Lindisfarne. Ford and Etal. There's also a famous battle site nearby which I can't remember.
Overall lovely site & area, spoilt by a couple of issues.

We based ourselves here for 4 nights as part of NE tour.
Its a big site with 70 pitches, wigwams and several holiday cottages.
Pitches on gravel and of various shapes and sizes (some only unit width) but have a grass area of varying size next to them. We didn't find hedges or tree separation in the area we stayed on.
Beautiful facilities block but only 4 showers and 4 loos in ladies left queues on Saturday when site was full.
Laundry room with washer and dryer both £2 for 45 minutes (full load dried in 40 mins easily).
Reception sells sweets, lollies etc but not much else, good Coop in village and a fabulous Deli too.
30 minutes walk to Seahouses, first 10 on country lane with no footpath. Then join the old railway line footpath traffic free - its 1 mile on the railway line.
Also a lane down to beach about 15-20 mins with some footpaths.
We loved Beadnall beach for walk and coffee. Alnwick is great, park all day at castle for £3. 50 but be aware dogs not allowed even in castle grounds, cafe, shop area (plenty parking in town free for 3 hours) town is beautiful.
Overall great site well placed for touring the area and we would come back again.

This was our second stay at Springhill Farm, and almost exactly 1 year apart. This site is wonderful! The hardstanding pitches are very spacious with a good area of grass between each pitch. Most of the pitches also have a border of either hedge, plant tubs or small trees to separate them
The facilities are amongst the best I've seen on a campsite. There is a large accessible/family wet room with 2 showers, WC and basin plus baby change and an actual bath. The separate ladies and gents have sufficient WCs and spacious shower cubicles.
In the hall outside there is a long shelf with hairdryers and a mirror, and outside there is a covered area with several washing up sinks, a dog/ outside shower and a utility room with fridge/ freezer for guest use and a chargeable washer/dryer.
The facilities are kept very clean, and the only times they weren't was more down to some of the campers rather than lack of cleaning. Really lovely facilities!
Access to the site is via very narrow roads so I would not recommend arriving before check in time or leaving after checkout time!
Reception staff are always really friendly and helpful. There are some items for sale from reception but it is very basic and it would benefit from a wider variety. Seahouses is only 5 minutes away by car though if you need anything. There is a decent size co-op there
The pitches are very, very hard so I would recommend screw in pegs if possible, heavy duty hard ground pegs at the very least. I'd also suggest a 2lb lump hammer rather than a rubber coated mallet
There is a large and clearly marked area for rubbish, with separate bins for recyclable, glass and general waste. This is situated just outside reception and the facilities, and there is also a water tap here. Chemical and grey disposal is a bit of a walk but not massively so
The site is very dog-friendly and extremely popular with dog owners. Dogs were mostly pretty well behaved and it was lovely to see. There is a reasonably large grassed area which includes a small play area for children and the site overall is quite family oriented. There is a tall hedge separating the site from the play area
About the only thing I didn't like is that a lot of people used the small grass area in front of the hedge either as a walkway or for walking their dogs. Very unnecessary and quite intrusive to walk so close to van. That's about the only negative though!
Prices are pretty fair for the area and a hardstanding pitch with electric starts from £25 off season. Unlike some of the greedier sites, there is no charge for an awning on a pitch you've already paid for
Seahouses is just over 5 minutes in a car or about 30 minutes walk, Bamburgh about 10 minutes by car or just under an hour walk. The site is very close to the coast and there are some lovely views
We like to try different sites for a bit of variety, but I have to say we are going to keep returning to Springhill Farm because it is just so nice

Great campsite, facilities were great although very warm in there so beware if Ur tired. You mite doze off!
Plus lights are on a timer so did have part of my shower in the dark.
Staff friendly & helpful, allowed us a late departure so we could try out a local restaurant before we left.
15min walk into the town which is lovely. Only 2miles to bamburgh to see the castle & explore.
Wished we were staying longer as lots to see.
Visited Northumberland national park which was stunning & full of cuckoos!
Lovely views from the campsite, sunsets & sunrises, nice looking play park.
Pitches level, would very happily return :-)

This is a nice site, situated midway between Seahouses and Bamburgh, and well located for exploring the Northumberland coast.
The whole site is well maintained with large pitches and a modern and immaculately kept facilities block.
Staff on site are friendly and it’s in a good location for walking into Seahouses.
Great site!
