This a perfect CCC certified site, only 20 minutes walk from town, which has several good pubs and restaurants.
The site is also very close to many good walks including the Drakes Trail which is mostly tarmac so ideal this time of year.
Anne is a very friendly, attentive and helpful host, she provided plenty of information about the area, including lots of leaflets from the small information shed.
The hardstanding was excellent and there's also a large grassed area.
We'll definitely be back, hopefully in the spring.

Camping in January is a bit unusual I have to admit and I was glad to find the site open.
I was welcomed by the host who kindly explained where everything was and wasn't in a rush for the formalities of registration and payment, very accommodating.
The site is quite small and is mainly flat. There is only one tap, loo and electric shower. I didn't use the shower (the weather was really cold) so I can't comment on its effectiveness.
The facilities were clean if a little tired and old fashioned.
It's a twenty minute walk to the centre of Tavi (as the locals call it). It's a pretty town with a wide range of shops, some good pubs and restaurants and an interesting indoor market (outdoors too on some days)
Not a very picturesque site but I would stay there again for a short stay.

Brilliant. Simple site but with reliable EHU and toilet/ shower. Only one of these but it’s a small site and not a problem.
Great location for Tavistock. Lovely walk or cycle off road to the town centre 1. 5 miles away.
Loads of books, maps and guides to browse or borrow. Anne is a welcoming and kind hostess.
If I’m back in the area I’ll stay here again. Thank you Anne.

Perfect quiet and small campsite which was situated perfectly just outside of Tavistock but within walking distance.
Anne was very friendly and helpful.
Basic facilities with one toilet and shower but all you need for a small site.
Very good value.
We would definitely return

Tavistock is a lovely area and this site could be a little gem with just a few changes. Ground is very uneven and the grass was very long.
A separate toilet to the existing toilet and shower that are housed in the same room with the obvious ratification that if one is been used you cannot use the other might be a good idea.
At one stage during our stay there were 10 units on site of which 9 were making use of the facilities.
The site is run by a lovely lady but she needs to keep an eye on what is going on. The last few days of our holiday were completely ruined by a family of 2 adults and 4 children.
The children were running backwards and forwards between their own caravan and a relatives screaming and shouting until 11 pm and using the space in front of our unit as a play area.
Needless to say it is Adults Only for us from now on.

Spent a peaceful night at Valley View campsite.
Lovely site tucked away on a quiet and pretty lane but walking distance to shops for supplies.
Great morning walk with views over the town. Had everything I needed.
Will definitely be back.

Great location with easy walk into Tavistock along the canal. Pretty town.
The field behind was handy for giving the dog a run, but I think it often has stock in there so we were extra lucky.
