Lovely people. Very quiet site which was nice while being new to camping.
Sue and Peter were both lovely and helpful.
Site is basic however if you are self sufficient this would be a fantastic site to use.
Had a fab couple of days in our trailer tent!

One night stay with a campervan and a race car on trailer on two occasions.
Great for Bedford autodrome.
No hassle, friendly and fit me in at late notice usually.
Self sufficient so didn't use facilities. Pleasant spot.
Some train noise in the distance but didn't bother me.

Stayed here as I was attending a function at a hotel which was just 300 yards up the road so very convenient.
Owner very helpful and even supplied keys so that I could access shower and toilet through the night.
It’s very basic and facilities would benefit from thorough clean and updating but on the whole if you are used to wild camping this site was more than adequate.
Nearest shops are about 2 miles away.
Very private as pitches are well spaced out and ground flat.

This campsite can only be described as very basic. It has only one shower, which desperately needs cleaning and up dating. There is also only one ladies and one gents toilet, the very small wash basins have no hot water and everything needed cleaning.
There are no disabled facilities anywhere. The slope to the tent field would be impossible to get up if slightly wet. There is a games/tv room in the same building as the toilets which is also dated. There is a lot of road and train noise all the time, so not a quiet site.
On the upside the owners are friendly and helpful. We were charged £12 per night with EHU, but this site and its poor facilities are not worth that much. The village of Sharnbrook is a 20minute stroll and very picturesque it has most things including a co-op store, post office, and nice pubs.
Wellingbrough is about 15miles, nice place with plenty of shops and free parking for all.

Visited this campsite at the beginning of May. Getting in the entrance was no problem as they have now widened the entrance and moved the gateposts further up the drive.
We stayed in the main area with the caravan but they have do have an additional field for tents accessed via a small slope. We used the field to play rounders!
Had a lovely weekend, super villages all around, plenty of pubs to eat in. Great for walks and cycling.
Small site but very friendly. Facilities are a bit dated but nice enough. Showers were 50p extra.

Arrived for the Easter break and our first problem was getting in the gates as they are very narrow and not much swing round. If you have a twin axle you may simply not get on. A very small site where pitching requires significant reversing skills or man handling and you are very close to your neighbours - not enough room for a full awning if the site is full.
There are two caravan pitches next to the entrance and road and two more next to them going further up the grass towards the owners workshop, with a further pitch on the gravel next to it. Tents are put on a separate field up a somewhat steep slope that in wet weather. Well good luck ;) There are also permanent vans on site adjacent to the workshop.
Plenty of water points with a powerful supply and the grey waste put in the hedges at their request. Chemical disposal 'out back'. The site facilities detailed are in the workshop area. The whole workshop based facilities could do with a clean and tidy and very basic bit for a caravanner that uses all facilities in the van then not a problem.
There are some lovely pubs in the area (Fox and Hounds at Risely especially) and close to Milton Keynes / Bletchley Park (home of the code breakers and Enigma) Bedford, Santa Pod and Kimbolton.
Peter (one of the owners) is very helpful and chatty. Value for money £13 a night all in not too bad but would look elsewhere first due to the size of my van.

Stayed here a couple of times, once in March 2009 and again in November 2009.
I really like it - a very basic and simple site with a super-friendly owner who knows a thing or two about mechanics!
Haven't used the shower before, but nice old style games area with kitchen too and toilet. Basic, but all that's needed.
£12 with hook-up makes it a little cheaper than lots of other places.
The surrounding area is really nice though. Some great walks (info about these walks at the entrance) and a nice village atmosphere in Sharnbrook.
Can hear trains passing from some areas of the site, but other than that pretty quiet and relaxing.
