Lovely field, plenty of space on each pitch. Very handy for all places around, including Gosport ferry, Fareham and Port Solent.
The owner was lovely, we arrived a day early and she was very happy for us to pitch up early. Water easily accessed.
Very secure too, had to lock gates every time you left and we were asked not to let anyone in behind us, they had to use their own keys.
For £15 per night a real find.

Field had a gentle slope.
No facilities but this was known at the time of booking.
Elson point on site for own toilet.
Flexible with time of arrival and departure.
Close to a road with noise from passing traffic in morning.

A great no frills site with a chatty and helpful owner. We wanted somewhere as a base to visit some of our family who all live in the area and this site proved to be the perfect choice.
There are plenty of electric hookups and water taps plus a Elsan empty point and that's it!
Nicely spaced pitches with a choice of where we wanted.
The site is slightly sloping which was easily remedied but the only downside was the traffic noise.
The bottom of the site is right on a main road and although it has total privacy the noise is quite loud.
Next time we will have a pitch at the to top to see if that is a little better.
We will definitely be back for our next family visits.

This booking was a last minute booking, just for 1 night, to test out our camper and warning prior to taking it overseas.
Rosemary was very quick in replying and was helpful all the way through.
The site was very convenient for us, only 20 mins down the road for our trial run, and the dog was allowed to come too, at no extra cost! £18 for one night including EHU, perfect!
No toilets or showers but we had our own and this was stated in the listing.
Beautiful village round the corner too!

Pleasant site alongside (quite) busy road, handy location.
Lack of toilets/washing facilities not an issue due to short stay.
Nothing more to add.

The owner was very helpful and laid back with the booking and very accommodating as we wanted our friends to come and stay with their mobile caravan for one night.
Have access to two good pubs.
The other thing I would say if the road off is quite busy.

Drove Lea farm is a great place to stay, basic but nice and flat.
Great location lots to see within walking distance, 2 great pubs within walking distance and of course the Abby which is visible from the field.
Would recommend

Lovely little site,
Rosemary the owner was very nice and helpful, have read on other reviews regarding traffic noise, personally after a couple of hours I never even noticed it,
And it was not excessive, and night time was very quite, loved laying looking at the stars, site where we were was pretty flat,
The toilet and shower were not in use due to virus,
Nice chilled time
Will definitely go again

For me this site is difficult to sum up.
The owner Rosemary was very pleasant to deal with both pre booking and on site when I went to pay.
£28 for two nights with electric seems reasonable but what do you get for that.
Basically we got a field to park in with grass clippings all over it that get trod in everywhere, in the van in the car all over toilet cassette when you wheel it to empty it, all over the waste water unit, literally everywhere, stay here for one night only and it's a sweep your caravan out job when we left.
Road noise is horrendous, there seems little let up, we stayed Friday through to early Sunday.
There is a small hut that once served as a tourist information point, it's now a home to spiders and other insects and a huge mound of grass clippings, leaflets old mouldy and several years old.
The entire site comes across as unloved, rock up give us your money depart at will in the meantime we will do nothing to make your stay comfortable.
And in twenty five plus years of caravanning the first and only site I have stayed at that don't have bins or anywhere to take your refuse, is that even legal.
Rosemary lovely, the site woeful, I suspect the owners know that.

This is not a criticism of the owners
The road noise was not good as we were right next to it, very busy most of the day and night so two nights not very good sleep
The site has a double gate which you have to have someone to hold it open or it will swing shut on you could do with a peg
The area is nice if you have a car as walking along the road was really dangerous with two dogs
The site is clean and seems friendly, only saw the owner once when we arrived
£12 a night non electric was ok as we have solar
Maybe stay again but would definitely take ear plugs
Don’t forget to take your rubbish home as no bins
