We stayed here for two nights in march 24. We thought this was a lovely farm campsite.
Very friendly host.
Excellent toilet & shower block.
Working farm.
Excellent location for lovely rides into Wharfdale & to Malham.

We tend to only use 5 van sites as we like peace and quiet when we're away. On booking the farmer did say that his son had a site next door, our first thought on arriving at our pitch was that we felt a little hemmed in as the neighbouring site bordered 2 sides of the CL. However, it was still very peaceful, campers were very respectful of each other and the place had a really nice vibe.
The shower and toilet block was modern and immaculate with plenty of hot water. The bins and disposal points were well organised and the pitches were spacious and level and each had its own picnic bench.
This site is well situated and there were nice walks locally. Still plenty for us to explore in this area so we'll be back here next year.

Great site in a peaceful location; owners are friendly and helpful.
Surroundings are beautiful and facilities are basic, but clean and adequate for the size of site.
Pitches are well spaced and overlook the rolling Yorkshire dales.
Beautiful, we will definitely go back.

A nice site (actually 2 5 van sites), easy access and easy to get to; take the 2nd right turn in Gargrave (from Skipton), and just follow the main(er) roads until the right turn by Eshton House, signed Winterburn, it's barely 1/4 mile along on the left. Your name will be on a board indicating which site you are to go to. Good views all around and satellite tv is easy enough to get.
We didn't get any sort of welcome and so did not receive any information on walks etc but there are plenty about. Try the circular walk around Winterburn, not far up the road but you will need to drive, especially with a dog, the lanes are too narrow for safe walking. The track up to the top site is not long enough for a decent dog walk.
Gargrave has a good Co-op but there is no longer a fuel station, the nearest seem to be at the supermarkets in Skipton, no ultimate diesel. There is also a garage at the Co-op in Settle.
The showers and loos looked ok, but they are down by the farmhouse, a bit far in inclement weather so we didn't use them. The CWD is here too and OH said it was ok to use. £14 per night, but £15 for a twin axle, ok we thought.

Amazing site. Daughter loves it, especially at Easter with the lambs and calves. No need for a play area when you have farm animals to see and so much space to run around.
Owners really friendly and helpful.
Facilities are very clean and totally adequate for the size of site.
Ideally located for seeing some of the Dales best sites

Loved this site, very quiet and peacefuland plenty of room.
We found the owners very friendly and a folder of local attraqctions was available.
The site is central for many places in the Dales, Settle, Skipton, Clapham to name a few. We especially enjoyed the Waterfall Walk in Ingleton and a journey on the Settle to Carlisle Railway
Nice friendly pub in Garside.
Toilets and showers were immaculate.

This is a great campsite been going for years and never got fed up of going it is my favourite site and warden is a great guy. The fields are good too you can go for walks to malham and for sale scar.
It is a bit tricky getting there but it is worth it. They have got showers and toilets on site just a little walk, they have to fields top and bottom your name will be on a board telling you which field you are on.

This was our third visit to this wonderful little site. We selfishly haven't sent a review before as it's a place you want to keep to yourself! The large CL field has 5 pitches but there are a couple more which gives plenty of choice to find your spot! There are wooden benches and chairs next to the pitches and fresh water and various wate bins at each end of the field. The Toilet and showers are a decent walk from the field but no problem if the weather is good which it has been for each of our visits. The toilet block is always spotless and the owners are very friendly and helpful but definitely not 'in your face'!
Should say there isn't much for children to do and probably wouldn't bring our grandchildren and that would spoil the peace and quiet anyway!
We love this place and there are some lovely walks around including one we did through some woods into Gargrave where there are a few pubs and shops. We will be back very soon (if we can get in!)
If you use a Sat Nav one word of warning, the site is a bit further down the lane than it shows, like the last reviewer I looked on Google maps, the site is just at the first bend past the first farm on your left.

I checked out the location on google streetview and managed to find the site with no problems.
The site is set in delightful countryside and the CL is away from the farm buildings and farmhouse. There is a welcome board with your name on showing you the way to the CL.
Access is easy and there were 5 hard standing pitches which were pretty level and all had electric hook ups (16amps I believe). The toilet block and Elsan disposal point were next to reception, which was a fair walk away for anyone with limited mobility but a trolly was thoughtfully supplied to transport the Elsan.
There is no lighting on the CL and so a torch in essential - however on a clear night the sky is stunning - I have never seen so many stars!
This was my first time on a CL and all the other campers were very friendly. I think we spoke to everyone.
There is poor/no TV reception in the area. So if you need your TV fix the you'll need a satellite system.
There is no play area for children, hoewver I suspect families would book into a larger site with more facilities.
I am informed that there are some excellent walks in the vicinity and many places of interest within a short drive, such as Skipton, Grassington, Haworth and Rylstone.
The owners/farmer were not intrusive yet were very welcoming and helpful.
This peaceful, well kept site is a true gem set in a beautiful part of the country and we will become regular visitors.

We have just returned from a week's stay at this site and could not have been more satisfied. The pitches are huge and the site is really peaceful.
Toilet and shower block were both very clean and the owners really friendly and helpful. They have a brochure of all the attractions in the area as well as a nice guide to an evening's walk.
The local town (Gargrave) is a short drive away and has a small supermarket. It also has one of the best Indian take-aways I have been to, it also functions as a restaurant.
We had visited in order to tackle the Yorkshire Three Peaks on separate days with our dog and the site was really well placed for access to all 3 as well as towns like Grassington and Skipton.
The site seemed to be fully booked all the time we were there, so I will be getting my next booking in well in advance. We are really looking forward to our next visit.
