It was a pretty relaxed site.
There was one main toilet block and showers which were clean.
The only moan was that there isn’t enough sinks in the toilets to have a wash and no hot water, cold tap only.
If there are 3 people using the 3 toilets there isn’t much room to use the one sink but it’s all clean.
Would definitely stay again.
Staff very friendly and helpful.

Nice clean well looked after site.
However the main showers didn't work and the owner wasn't all that keen to walk across the field to turn the pump on so we could use the other showers.
Showers up near the caravan park are falling apart and lights didn't work.
But other than that not a bad site

Amazing place, we put our tent next to the river, be able to hear the noise of the river was pretty good 😊
We could make our own fire and bbq.
Toilets always clean

I really liked this campsite site. Very friendly owners and flexible, we didn’t end up staying the two nights as planned only due to adverse weather, we didn’t leave until 6pm but they didn’t charge us.
Facilities were basic but good and clean. Several porta loos about the site so no long walk to the main toilets.
I don’t know why there are all the bad reviews about the lane to the campsite. Yes it’s narrow but only few hundred meters long and several passing places.
Mustn’t forget to mention the great views of Cader! I will definitely return to this site.
Starbucks and Garage at the end of the road if required.

Fantastic break. Clean facilities, friendly owners and beautiful view. What more can you ask for?
There were horses to be fed, herbs to be picked (added to our BBQ), birds to be spotted.
Highly recommended!

Lovely big campsite, plenty of space at our pitch. Good starter packs of kindling and fire wood, friendly staff and gorgeous views!
Great location for visits to Dolgellau for supplies/ pubs/ restaurants, and easy access to the main A470 road for driving to other places.
Good showers and toilet facilities, with portaloos also dotted around the field.
Felt comfortable here and would definitely be returning soon.

August staycation 2021 with friends, including our 4 children aged 7-13. Tricky roads to access the site but manageable, we were camping so driving cars but can imagine would be much harder in a motor home/van or towing a van!
Beautiful location, amazing views, plenty of space in the camping field. Kids enjoyed playing and running up/rolling down the hill.
The site facilities however remain a lot to be desired. The showers were basic but hot water, not the cleanest (wear sliders to shower!).
Toilets extremely poor, the main block, well was just that, it suffered regular blocks! Only 2 working toilets for the ladies and one for men (plus 3 urinals which are in full view of all passing by or waiting!).
The smell from them was horrendous and the locks, well they didn’t. Took my own cleaning sprays when needed to use and wore a mask. 4 days into our stay they added fresheners and rim blocks to the toilets, slight welcomed improvement. Porta-loos on the fields were so backed up that no flushing was clearing, no further comment needed there.
Washing up facilities, just one sink for all pitches, more needed, as such a large site and due to peak times was a very busy site. Such a shame about the poor facilities as the location and views are amazing.
Staff friendliness and toilet facilities most disappointing. We checked out on day 5 for another site.
If improvements were made to the facilities would stay again and recommend as everything else was ok.
The children enjoyed the experience though despite the loos, plus Starbucks was minutes away and their loos and drinks were very much welcomed regularly!
The town is pretty, several takeaways (Indian, Chinese, kebab shop), few pubs and a little bakery (open 8-3). Co-op sold out of the basics and was busy, so recommend the Spar for food/essential shopping (also cheaper and much bigger store!) - fully stocked when we visited. Beautiful beach just 15/20 min drive away in Barmouth, cheap parking, lovely shops, arcade etc. For children, rides on the beach, clear water and soft sandy beach, great views.
Dolgellau was a great base and lovely quaint village. Everywhere we wanted to visit was within hour or so drive of the site.
Wales is beautiful and well worth the drive to get there. Treasured memories made.

Not our best campsite visit. Difficult access along narrow road with few passing places.
Toilets are really pretty basic - the showers even more so.
The field has more mobile toilets scattered around. A bit like a festival.
Electric hook ups are in the middle of the field. But it’s up to you to find a spot that’s suitable.
It seems to be a trend to light BBQs and fire pits everywhere. Meaning that the field became incredibly smoky. Especially when lots of green wood is being used.
Little or no management of this - and children were rummaging around looking for wood to burn most of the evening.
Lots of dogs - lots of barking.
Quite expensive for what was on offer - and would hate to deal with the field if there was a lot of rain.
Redeeming feature was the distant scenery and a walk along a beautiful nearby torrent.

Owners excellent very welcoming and friendly when some sites turn their nose up at motorbikes, very large field for camping so lots of space between pitches and camp fires welcome which was excellent on the cold night. You would be unlucky to find a stone when pegging out your tent on the flat ground.
Bought the fire wood on site which was very dry and lasted longer than we needed. Basic toilets but clean with the necessary soap etc could do with update. Site itself set in a picturesque valley which gives you a beautiful view.
Don't expect frills my friend said 10/10 I would say perfect for us 8 out of 10 due to outdated toilet block compared to some but better than others.
Will return!
