Only stayed one night as it was very expensive.
Brilliant location on the river. Interesting to see all the barges going by. Can walk to Koblenz town centre and Deutsches Eck quite easily. If walking is difficult for you they tell you at reception how to get a fixed price taxi.
Nice grass pitch, small but better than I expected.
Toilets and showers modern and clean. Also had a very impressive dog shower with warm water.

We stayed at this site for a third time. I do like it as its in a great location for the town of Koblenz, and also has great facilities on site, with a good bar and restaurant. The showers and toilets are great too - clean and well kept. They even have a separate 'doggy shower' if your pooch gets a bit wiffy!
We had a pitch overlooking the river Rhein (the Rhein and Mosel join here so the rivers are very busy with both commercial and cruise boats). Its very pleasant to sit out and watch all the barges going up and down, and on the far riverbank is a busy freight railway line. The only problem is that when you go to bed, everything else keeps running, so in a tent we found the railway very noisy throughout the night. The river traffic can be noisy too - but this tends to get drowned out by the railway! Its an expensive site - but you are probably paying for the location.

Brilliant location, but an over-priced site owned by the Knaus company. Adequate but not great facilities. The 6 amp electric supply was a joke in April, and we kept tripping the pitch fuse with even minimum requirements. Suspect we would do the same in a July! But the site position is great next to the confluence of the Rhine and Mosel, with a short passenger ferry ride over to the city of Koblenz itself.

Site is directly opposite the Koblenz old town and Duetches Eck (German Corner), you can take the pedestrian ferry from beside the site across the Mosel to walk about in the old town without having to bother with the car. This is a modern site with new facilities in two blocks, they were always clean and showers etc were very good. There did not seem to be any residential caravans, which will not be a surprise given the price of 38 euros per night for us, mind you that was for a bigger pitch with water and drainage. A great bar and restaurant on site and reasonable prices. There is a large turnover each day so the entrance can be very busy. We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. No playpark on site, shops (Netto) just up the road. So pricey but excellent facilities and great location.

1st the good. - modern toilets just rebuilt. Wi fi on site but expensive
2nd the bad - the pitches are wildly varying in size. Ours is against the boundary fence with piles of rotting grass cuttings behind. We have just watched a caravan trying to pitch on their plot with the electrical supply exactly in the middle of their pitch???
Some pitches are great but the markings have been done by someone's children, who would put electricity points in mid plot??
Worse of all is the cost - €35 per night - way over priced by the owners Knaus.
Nice site but badly set out.
Noisy from children and the railway

This site is right at the side of the Rhine/Mosel river and has lovely views across the river to the old German Quarter. Looking out on the river is like watching a moving picture with Rhine boats, trains and cable cars going past.
The pitches are large. The showers are free but the water only just warm. There is a nice restaurant on site with good food. The bar is excellent and the service is good. It is busy so best to book a table.
Unfortunately we had to move on as the Rhine was rising and the site was starting to flood. It was a bit confusing as no one told us what was happening.
Would recommend it.

Friendly hosts. Nice shop on site for essentials. Large supermarket 4 mins walk. Bar and restaurant on site but didn't use it. Lovely views across the Rhine to the castle and old town. Pitches were level and large. Best pitches tended to be nearer the entrance end of the site. Toilet block/showers and washing up facilities brand new and excellent. Ideal location for northern Rhine. Good train connections to Koln, Mossel, southern Rhine etc. Boat outside campsite takes you across Rhine to lovely old city of Koblenz (8 til 8, 1 euro). Cost 31 Euro's per night for campervan/hookup and 2 adults. Less noise from trains than other Rhine fronting sites. Old Koblenz is lovely for a day or two. Good area for access to walks on the Rhine Staig long distance hiking trail.

Location:
Well located within easy walking distance of the town centre, this site is an excellent base for exploring the Rhine Valley. Nice riverside walk and cycle rout from the site. Helpful staff; English spoken.
Facilities:
The toilet and shower facilities are superb, with large, modern shower cubicles a motorhome service point, well stocked shop and bar. Motorhome overnight area adjacent.
Prices:
25 Euros per night for motorhome with two people and electricity. Good value for facilities and location.

We had planned to visit this site for one night as part of a holiday stopping at various points along the Rhein. We actually ended up here for 2 nights as most of the other sites we visited that day had no space or just looked tiny / noisy / uninviting. After a long day on the road from Luxembourg we arrived about 8:30 needing this site to be good and it was. The owner was happy to let us on despite it being after reception hours, he spoke good English and was generally very helpful. The site is mainly for tourers (the norm in that area it seems) but had a decent size field for tents with a great view looking out across the Mosel to Deutsches Eck. You can take your car onto the field which was handy for us. Price was reasonable given location. Being right in the middle of a city has its pros and cons - we were there over a bank holiday so it was very quiet (a little too quiet, finding so much as a supermarket open proved impossible) however it was handy for the old town, boat trips etc. The site is well signed from the main road (useful if like us you don't have a satnav).
Good things: Helpful staff, good pitches for tents, laundry and wash up (with hot water) behind reception so pretty close to the tent field. One large toilet and shower block (free) in the middle of the site and a smaller one attached to reception. Facilities were clean and we never had to wait. Amazing views from the site (although when you go over to the other side of the river you realise the site is a bit of a blot on the landscape)! When it is open, there is a cheap supermarket right by the site.
Bad things: Not the place to get away from it all, the open air bar on the opposite bank was very noisy late into the night when we were there. Koblenz isn't the prettiest city, however its location on the Rhein and Mosel is fantastic.
Overall, a good base to explore the area along the Rhein for a few days if you don't mind being in the middle of a city. Good facilities and pretty good value.
