Really lovely and peaceful lakeside location. This small but perfect site is adult only and dog friendly. If it’s your thing you can pay a little extra and enjoy the fishing or just sit and look at the wildlife around the beautiful lake.
Owner is very friendly and helpful and just leaves you to do your own thing but only around the corner if needed.
There are newly installed toilets and showers rooms which were nice and clean.
A lovely pub is just a 10 minute walk away and is also dog friendly.
Very secure site and felt at ease knowing it was safe.
We’re definitely going to be making this site a regular stopover.

Loved this little gem of a site. Although as Daryl, the very personable and helpful owner, rightly pointed out that the toilet/shower wasn't 'the Ritz', the site and friendly atmosphere of the place more than made up for it. The fishing lake was good (full of carp and silver fish).
There is a bus stop to Newark and Grantham on the doorstep and a good pub nearby serving excellent food. To sum up, a brilliant stay and we will be returning shortly
Oh. And we also saw the full 'Buck' moon whilst enjoying a glass of wine in the late evening. Beautiful!

Once you've driven past the recycled furniture shop and storage caravans you enter an oasis of peace and calm with a lake full of very tame Carp.
Pitches are all grass but firm underneath. Very secure with many locked gates, you are given a set of keys for the front and rear gates, this rear gate leads to the village (less than 10 min walk).
There is a pub the Lord Nelson in the village which does food occasionally and has a couple of real ales on tap. There is a bus stop to either Newark or Retford accessed by this rear gate but buses peter out during the eve.
The only negative is the basic toilet block which is a single unisex type but with a modern electric shower and there is a bit of a trek to it from the camping field.
Paid £20/night including ehu which is worth it for the view alone but not the toilets.

Recently spent a week at Lindens farm, what a great find. Peace and quiet. Great space for caravan. Really helpful. Super fishing, lots of carp, up to double figures and other types tench and silver fish.
Retford worth a a visit, market days worth looking at. Also the Auschwitz museum is only 7 miles away.
Every one should consider a trip there.

Well what can I say but brilliant site safe secure well landscaped site. Fishing great. Owner friendly. Toilet although old it has been looked after. Shower looks new no problem.
Short walk to the local pub, co-op and butcher, a little further bus stop to Newark. The only problem was we could not stay longer will stay again.

Nice quiet site, bounded by conifers so protected from worst of weather, fishing lake is full of fish guaranteed to catch, easy going owner so pitch where you fancy, basic toilet and shower, pound coin for shower, adequate.
Good pub in village, nice meals, shop in village. Bus to Newark or Retford outside the gate

Just spent 2 nights on this site. Firstly it a bit hard to find as sat Nav takes you nowhere near this site, but one phone to the owner and we were directed very quickly to the site. Infact you need to look out for a sign for Roy Walker Furniture and the site is directly behind that.
Don't be put off by the very high gates and work shop look. Once you go through that part its like driving into The Secret Garden. Five grass pitches a little log hut and a beautiful lake fully stocked with some brilliant fish, mostly carp and tench. Husband and son fished the whole two days we were there and really enjoyed it, we had the site to ourselves the whole time.
There is one toilet and shower which was clean but slightly old but to be perfectly honest it did not bother us. You are supplied with keys for all the gates so when the furniture business is closed you can still get in and out of the site. We felt very safe, one word it very dark at night as there are no lights so please remember a torch.
The owner was very friendly and either on site or a phone away if needed and it was only £20 a night which includes everything even the fishing. If we are in the area again we will definitely be returning to this little quiet haven just what we like, adult only and peace and quiet.

Lovely little site. Close to village with pub. Not too far from Newark with good shops and market. A lovely old fashioned town with castle and river. Lincoln and Sherwood Forest near by.
Has supposedly secure storage but gates to storage area at front open all day. People coming in and towing caravans away with no obvious checks.
Some noise from busy A1 trunk road
Won't be using this site again!
