Delicious food, we had a great stay - kids played in the large field and in the woods,
Extremely quiet site with natural surroundings and basic facilities, but they work.
Pub food is great, a little pricey but very good.
We would stay again.

Check in was in the pub and very easy and friendly.
The pitch was easy to find, but although advertised as hard standing it was only a narrow strip of gravel just wide enough for the caravan so was stepping out onto very soggy grass, which in the summer would have been fine but on a very wet weekend in December quickly became very muddy and slippery.
The facilities were not heated, but it was pretty mild so wasn’t an issue and the one shower was lovely and hot, but there was no hot water in either of the two sinks, nor was there a mop for the shower.
Ladies had 3 toilets and one shower, all very clean.
Despite being Christmas there was no noise from the pub so I had a lovely quiet stay.

Very quiet site just 5 touring vans and a few glampers. Small toilet /shower facilities (3 wc’s 1 shower in ladies) but always immaculately clean.
Large grass area in front of vans normally used for tents but empty during our stay.
Also brilliant WiFi from our caravan - important when travelling with teenagers! Pub is really nice with good selection of food for both light lunch's and dinners.
Recommend you book during busy periods.
Small shop half a mile away with good selection. Bures Steam train worth a ride going between Aylesbury to Wrexham

Great pub, excellent food, friendly efficient staff.
Good camping facilities with well kept level ground. Why would you ever camp anywhere else that wasn’t attached to a pub ?

The location of this campsite was perfect for us, near the old RAF Coltishall base where we had booked motorbike training for a couple of days.
The CS is large, rural, immaculately maintained with large pitches with gravelled areas to park on and grassy sitting out areas.
The fee was very reasonable and included showers etc. Half the price of club sites and just as nice with a pub up the lane which did a great local brewed beer and nice food.
The shower/loo block was modern and immaculate and showers are of the push button type, no longer any need for tokens. We were there the 1st weekend out of lockdown and were practically the only people there so very pleasant.
3 loos and 1 shower each for ladies and gents so on a very busy weekend I imagine they might struggle with queues, particularly as with covid only 1 person is allowed it any one time!
A good location for families with children as there is a large playground at the pub and huge playing field.
The pub is dog friendly. A good location for visiting the broads, Norfolk coast and Norwich.

Wonderful site very welcoming and excellent for both couples and families
The inns foods was delicious and plenty of choice though. If you wish to eat in the restaurant I would recommend booking as it gets very busy quickly

A great site, in the middle of the countryside so no road noise, attached to a pub which does lovely food, we were in a big party and all the food came out promptly and everyone was pleased with their meals.
Only one shower in ladies and gents, 50p token from the bar gives you 7 minutes, just a shame that you still have to press a button every 30 seconds even when you've paid for the hot water. There were no queues when we were there but the site wasn't full, I could imagine that if it was 1 shower wouldn't be enough. The same with the washing up sink, there's only one of them. And tents can't have EHU only vans
Unfortunately there were mix ups with some of our bookings - we had booked two nights and on arrival were only booked in for one, fortunately it wasn't a problem but I wouldn't have been happy if we had turned up and they had only let us stay the one night when we had booked two. We couldn't quite understand why when there were other pitches available that people weren't spread out a bit more. There were another couple of issues in our group such as being accused of not paying when people had paid over the phone prior to arrival which was a shame as it really is a lovely site just seems a bit of a lack of organisation on the campsite which is strange because the pub runs like clockwork,
Despite the couple of issues I am sure we will be back as it is a lovely relaxing site

The Goat Inn is a perfect site, pub and restaurant rolled into one! We had our first camping trip here with friends and cannot fault it at all!
Lovely big site, really clean toilets and shower, a fantastic enclosed playground for the children and plenty of space to pitch your tent and the kids have a run around - did not feel crowded despite every pitch being taken up!
I only give a 9/10 for showers as there was only one shower in ladies and men's toilets which were constantly in use evening and morning so they could maybe do with investing in an extra shower block. Other than that a full 10/10!
The ladies who run the pub were so accommodating and helpful, the restaurant is fantastic and they even decorated our table for my 6 year old's birthday which she absolutely loved!
We will definitely be recommending this site to friends and family who camp and visit it again.

Had a fantastic time camping at the Goat Inn with Canoe Man - despite the weather.
With all the rain was very impressed the camp site didn't become boggy and could still drive our cars on, however plenty of hard standing if required.
Quiet site with plenty of space for ball games and kite flying. Easy access to river and well organised canoe trip.
We spent 5 nights here and ate in the pub twice - both times which were very good - on service, food and value, especially accommodating as there were 10 of us.
The availability of fire pits was most welcome and well used - great for cooking on and keeping us warm.
My 5 year old loved the playground and felt safe for him to play there.
Those that hired the tents weren't so impressed - lack of ground sheet and felt they had been pitched a while.
The facilities were always clean, only problem was 1 shower and it wasn't always working - really need to extend the shower facilities and wash basins (only 2).
Plenty of shops in nearby Cottershall (and a delightful tea room!)
Looking forward to our next visit.

Lovely relaxed site in a peaceful away-from-it-all location - only spoiled for us by night time noise! We pitched our tent as far as possible from the functions marquee after reading a review suggesting this could be noisy, this meant we were at the edge of the 'Independent' field, next to the field used by the 'Canoe man'. This proved to be a big mistake as the group staying there enjoyed a very loud BBQ - until around 1am (loud talking, laughing, swearing, singing etc) I asked them politely to be quieter at 11pm - but it made no difference! The site really needs to establish a firm policy on when 'quiet time' is.
Otherwise the site is family friendly, the play area in the pub garden is easily viewed from the whole site so its easy to keep an eye on children playing there (though kids need to be very tall to use the swings!).
The site is nicely broken up by banks of trees giving useful shade. The toilet and shower facilities are clean and good (showers - 50p tokens from pub), only one washing up sink and only one shower each for men/ladies - so might be a wait when busy.
No particularly local shops.
Pub serves good food - though service a bit slow in restaurant when busy.
Overall a lovely site and would recommend.
