This was my second visit to this pleasant, peaceful site on a farm and will not be my last.

Reasonably flat surface for tents, run by a pleasant couple. Charge reasonable. Farm animals to see.

The toilet facilities are a little dated but clean and well serviced. Good shower.

Handy for Chester and North Wales/shops not far away.

Just had a lovely holiday here. Lots of space. Friendly owners.

Huge pitch.

Clean shower and toilet facility.

Good walking territory. 10 minutes walk to local shop and pubs.

Close to main route / roads to North Wales and Chester

Some noise occasionally when nearby quarry operating, but noise not too obtrusive.

Will be returning soon.

Fantastic site tucked away behind a farm.

Electric hook up and Elsan available but due to current situation, no showers or toilets, so only caravans and motorhomes.

No restrictions on space because the field is huge.

Great site for visits into Chester and Wales.

Will definitely be back. Very friendly people and reasonable price at £15 per night.

£10 per unit per night including electricity. Very attractive and well kept quietly located site on farm. Facilities fairly basic but adequate. 1 room for walk in shower and loo but wasn't usually a problem as site only takes a few units at a time. Kept clean.

Also shed containing an aladdin's cave of books, DVDs, an assortment of bits and pieces to borrow, and fresh eggs and home made jam for sale. Space for my two grandchildren aged 10 and 8 to run about.

They enjoyed looking at the animals and making friends with the other residents, especially Maisie the farm cat, who follows you about. Les, the owner, was pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Nearest shops, cinema about 3 miles away, with a Coop and chippy on the way. About 30 mins to nearest beach and close to Park and Ride for Chester.

Felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay. Would go again.

A good large site with walks directly from it. Slightly miffed to be charged the full price of £15 per night when the shower wasn't working. No problems with finding the site, with a local area map.

We didn't find the local shop much good, but there is a large shopping centre at Broughton with an enormous Tesco and fuel. When leaving the site to go east, you need to take the Broughton road to access the A55.

We found a lovely walk alongside the river Dee at Holt, only a few miles away.

This site is beautiful. Well maintained. Quiet surroundings. Local shop, pub 10 min walk. Bus service into chester, broughton shopping park, get food, clothes, etc.

Worth a visit by bus from village. Info shed on site. Wc, shower block. Enough for 5 vans. Highly recommend. Sandy lane best I have been for a while. Mandy, les lovely people, very helpful.

Oh also fresh eggs, jam for sale from farm.

We picked this site so we could visit Chester. The idea was to get a bus into town, but to be honest it's only a 10 minute drive and there's plenty of parking when you get there.

The site was a bit tricky to find as our sat-nag wouldn't accept the postcode, but a phone call to the site got us there no problems.

The site is a huge well tended field with hook-ups around the edges. The owner met us as we arrived, pointed out the toilet/shower (only one, basic but clean and spacious) the elsan point, fresh water, and said we could hitch up wherever we liked.

This is a beautiful site, quiet and peaceful with a village about a 10 minute walk away with a pub. Perfect!

I arrived late afternoon at dusk and the owner directed me to the field. The field is a good size so plenty of space all a round. It was well maintained and access was a doddle. Its a working farm so usual bleets and moo's you'd expect from a farm. The owners where very very welcoming and helped me get positioned. The location itself is quiet as its away from busy roads.

The village is about 10-15 min walk which was nice. The local was good The Swan inn which also does food. Its handy enough for Chester or North Wales, we went to Chester Zoo for the day, this has plenty of motorhome parking so no worries and its only about 20 mins away.

The toilet block is very basic, its a brick built toilet and shower with no heating but plenty of hot water. Its kept clean so don't go expecting the ritz.

We will be returning for a longer jaunt.
