Stayed here with family, wasn’t too busy at the end of August with plenty of space.
The facilities were clean and well kept. The field itself is quite uneven but well drained. Quite a relaxed site with the owners allowing fire pits and ball games.
In all honesty wouldn’t stay again, tbf it’s obvious from the site description that it’s mainly geared up for fishing. We thought it was expensive for what you got.
Plenty of nice walks around but we found they were only accessible by walking along roads first especially if you’re walking towards a pub.
Just thought it was expensive for what is quite a basic site, especially when you’ve got an extra car and an extra adult, works out at £50 per night.

Very expensive for what is available. Advertised as dog walk facilities. Not built yet. Bar and food. Not open.
Big field. Nice showers but charge £1.
£43 a night. Too much. Far better sites for far less.

Very friendly site, ablutions spotless, pitches extremely good,
Good value for £25 much cheaper than a site in Great Haywood,
We will return next time we are in Staffordshire.
Only down side it is a long walk to the Wolsley Arms pub.
Main line railway passes near by but it didn't affect our sleep.

An excellent location for exploring Cannock Chase. A large flat field with generally good facilities.
The new toilet / shower block was good but needs more hooks and shelves for wash bags and towels etc to hang.
Being close to a main line railway could be disturbing. Pools were attractive for evening walks.
The office was usually not open for advice etc.

A delightful site, with a friendly welcome from the staff on arrival. Well maintained with good size pitches. Although the site is near a train line, trains were very few and far between so not a concern.
The toilet and shower facilities were immaculate as you would expect from a new build. My only negative points from our stay would be the size of the shower block for the size of the camping field was not quite big enough, as we were there over the Bank Holiday ( and it was very busy !) we found ourselves having to queue for toilets and showers.
The only other negative point was the washing up facility. I say facility as there was only 1 ! and instead of finding a regular washing up sink and drainer you are met with a small pot sink 2 feet from the ground and a stainless steel bench. I think this facility could do with a rethink perhaps 🤔.

What a fantastic campsite.
We were made to feel so very welcome and Hollie and her dad gave us so much time making sure we were having a good stay.
Absolutely top facilities with great showers were kept clean and tidy.
I’ll definitely stop again and I highly recommend to all.
Top notch and great value for money.

Toilet back just opened. Water from showers poping on floor due to no falls to a drain.
Poor design. No where to hang towels by wbasins. No washing up facilities especially for tenters.
Caravan understanding good but small. Nice and quiet

Having chosen the site from the Camping and Caravanning Club sitebook, as "tranquil" - we were horrified to find that it actually is sited only 200 yds from the Birmingham Main Line Railway - consequently tranquility shattered throughout the day and night.
Our other concern was the state of the approach track - full of potholes and positively awkward for caravans.

Don't really read reviews as people moan about anything. They expect the owners or management to jump when they click their fingers. Especially caravan club types. Lol. Anyway.
Shower block brilliant. And it's free. 5 minutes. No plug points though for shaving so socket with payment would be great to stop abuse charging phone. Got to say though felt sorry for whoever does cleaning. Mens toilet was like being back at school. Poo on seat. Toilets not flushed. Paper on floor. I mean. Come on people. You pay for the privilege of site use. Not abuse. Rant over lol.
Its a brilliant site my only complaint no bacon sandwiches. I mean crikey. The most traditional money making lip smacking morning airborne scent ever.

Amazing place here
They were fully booked for electric pitches and made a massive effort and put us a cable in
The owners were very friendly and welcoming and came to meet us in person so we felt at home straight away
They have 2 well established fishing lakes with a really good head of fish for every angler
They have a bar at the corner of the field where a lot of people had a drink
It was very peaceful
They also have a shop which sells fishing tackle for all needs
We will be going back there soon
Amazing camping and caravan site 5 stars 🌟
