Clean tidy campsite, very short 2 min drive to Woolacombe, £10 to park all day by the beach.
No shop on site, there is a nisa shop a short drive away on another camp site, we didn't use it found a supermarket on our travels and stocked up there.
Most take aways close at 9, we found a place called munchies and ordered on line, they delivered to the camp site and are open til 01:00, they are at Ilfracombe.

This is a great dog friendly site and everyone seemed very chilled and friendly. The facilities are great, very clean and spacious and hot showers. They are mixed gender, which we had no issue with but some people might especially if they have children. A well maintained site with helpful friendly owners.
The dog walk field is handy and being able to walk straight on to the old railway line and walk into Ilfracombe. We got the bus out and walked back.
Some of the plots are on the smaller side so would look at booking a bigger plot next time if possible.
The council really should invest in a footpath/cyclepath into Woolacombe from the Tarka Trail near the Old Mill pub as a few people mentioned the roads are not safe to walk on. We tried and it wasn’t enjoyable and annoying for drivers I’m sure. There are numerous holiday parks and campsite visitors along the main road that would benefit. Once you get past Golden Sands park there is a track and nice walk into the town and the beach.
Ilfracombe was preferable though being all off road walking and cycling. Saying that, there are plenty of buses to Woolie and Ilfracombe and stops very close to the campsite

What a beautiful spot and a well run site! First time at this site which has obviously had money spent on it recently.
Jo, one of the owners was very accommodating with us having to change dates and the whole team were very friendly and obliging throughout our stay.
The site itself sits right next to a section of the Tarka trail with a gate leading straight on to it for walking or cycling. Fire pits were on hire for the evening and a resident chicken popped to see us from time to time.
We had a super pitch which was fine although I would have preferred our own water supply post rather than on with a number of taps on for others to use.
The shower facilities were excellent and well maintained.
We would definitely go back again! Nick & Jane

We had an enjoyable week here, back in 2018. I can't remember many specifics of the campsite, however that means that they must all have been absolutely fine!
Woolacombe is a short drive away, potentially walkable as well (although we didn't do it). Great beach, we also visited Exmoor Zoo, which was a great day out.
Would recommend this site to anyone who is looking for something quiet and ideally situated for visiting Devon attractions.

Wanted to find a nice quiet campsite that allowed fires so ended up here and we were really pleased.
Good facilities that were regularly cleaned, only had to wait once for a shower despite the campsite being busy.
On thursdays and saturdays they do a pizza night which whilst I felt was slightly expensive, was really tasty and we all loved it.
You can hire small fire pits and buy eco logs to burn.
The staff were super friendly and made a big fuss of the children, even letting them take pizza boxes away so they could colour them in (which kept my children quiet for ages!).
Only a 5 minute drive to Woolacombe and a 15 minute drive to Putsburgh beach. Would definitely visit again.

Stayed here with our brand new folding camper in the heatwave and what a fantastic campsite to spend it on.
The majority of pitches had hardstanding with grass next door so we had our camper on the hardstanding area with the awning on the grass - others parked their car on the hardstanding and their tent on the grass.
Campsite staff were very friendly and very visible throughout our stay, mowing the grass, cleaning washrooms, emptying bins etc. As well as reminding campers of the 5mph speed limit.
Washrooms were unisex but never any queues for showers etc. And they were regularly cleaned and were spotless. Sensible Covid restrictions were in place to keep people safe.
There was a pizza night on Thursday and Saturday evening and there was an excellent sheep dog and birds of prey demonstration every Wednesday evening at the neighbouring farm.
Campsite was right on the edge of the Tarka Trail and very close to lovely beaches. Good views over the sea and spectacular sunsets in the evenings.
All in all, a lovely campsite and we will be back!

This is a good site with excellent facilities and a good location for exploring north Devon. It’s actually just outside Woolacombe at the top of the hill and also backs onto the tarka trail which gives a good cycle route for Braunton and ilfracombe.
The site looks like it’s upgraded over COVID with new roads and toilets. Pizzas available on Saturdays.
Just one tiny criticism of the toilet block we used is that there was no private washing cubicles but the showers and toilets were excellent

Recently camped here for the 2nd time excellent facilities very clean and with covid precautions in place. A lovely quiet and relaxed site, staff and owners are lovely and very helpful.
Hired the fire basket for 2 nights slightly expensive ( £5 for the basket £2for the first log £ 5 every night after up to max of £20) but it was lovely to sit outside and relax at night in front of the fire.
They have just opened up a new set of toilets and showers by the bottom gate by the trail which saves you walking up to the main block at night.
We will definitely be back for another visit highly recommended.

The site is well placed for the local areas of woolacombe, Ilfracombe, croyde, Barnstaple and Combe martin.
When we arrived there had been a lot of rain so the ground was pretty boggy, but in fairness the staff were great with tractor pulls and they also converted my grass pitch to a hard standing whilst I was out. I was also told that more gravel roads will serve pitches next year.
I cannot complain with this site at all, good wood oven pizza twice a week is a plus. Really good for the Tarka trail too
