 Great location.

Enjoyed looking out across Derwent Water from my Pitch

Staff are wonderful.

Other campers on site were also wonderful and helped me pitch a tent as the rain came in.

The campers kitchen was ideal (though only used it when I had to power up the laptop one day - but plenty of other people were preparing meals in the kitchen)

Will be back

What can I say what a lovely caravan park/ site

The welcome was fantastic and the pitch had a fantastic view and was peaceful and quiet.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Thank you so much

What a great site, one of the best we have ever found,

Great pitches, many with a view of Derwentwater,

Only a brief 2 night stop on a tour of Northern England and Scotland.

Will definitely return for a longer break in the Lakes,

 + Great facilities

+ friendly and helpful staff, lovely views

- a good 25 minute walk into Keswick (uphill coming back), although there is a half hourly bus service 10 mins walk away

- a school group was pitched in the area next to my pitch so there was chatter 'til 1am and they were up early making noise preparing for their expedition. They should not have been sited so close.

- £33 is very expensive for a solo traveller not needing ehu, no awning etc

This was the start of our 4 and 1/2 week tour of Scotland and we hadn’t managed to get to the lakes for a few years so made a stop over.

This site is fantastic!

It was fairly quiet when we were there and they did t clump everyone together so we had a great pitch with space and lovely views of the mountains and Derwaent water.

The staff were all really nice and friendly. The facilities were top notch (just be careful with the automatic showers…I got a wet towel!)

A pizza van was there one night and they were delicious.

It is about 1/2 hour walk down in to the lovely town of Keswick and a bit longer back as it is up hill (which gives the views)

I was just blown away, one of my top sites and especially good price for the lakes I think.

We will definitely be returning.

After our booking at Keswick CCC was cancelled due to flooding, a quick scramble to find another site at short notice found us heading to castlerigg hall. And we were not disappointed

Pitch 22 saw us overlooking the Derwent and the fells, large gravel pitch EHU water and grey waste.

Site is immaculate, check in was seem less and a member of staff showed us to our pitch.

Reasonably sized site, immaculately kept, 2 shower blocks on site, Elsan and motorhome waste point. Also has a small shop and a pizza van visits a few times a week.

2 toilet blocks are immaculate 3 large shower units 3 toilets, 3 sinks and always a fresh mop bucket and mop available to clean the showers after use.

Castlerigg sit above Keswick with a short walk through the site down hill into the town, around 20 mins or a 30 min walk by road. Be warned the walk back is steep in places.

Site is well situated for many walks and a lovely trek over to castlerigg stone circle is worth the effort

Overall a great site, not cheap but worth it

 Nothing to dislike.

Lovely well laid out spacious site with multiple choices of pitches at differing prices.

You pays your money and takes your choice. We chose a tiny pitch to suit our small campervan. We couldn't see another unit but had a superb view all for £27.

Lovely staff with the right attitude.

 A well kept, quiet site.

Parts of the site are terraced. Many pitches have fell top views.

The facilities were clean and well maintained.

Several walk from the site through woods, down to lake, to Stone circle or Walla Crag.

Short drive or can walk (uphill coming back)to Keswick where there are shops restaurants etc.
