Almost empty site, which was very quiet.

Great toilet and shower facilities, basic but cleaning and warm!

Bit wet underfoot, but it was a wet July so everywhere is soaked!

Handy for the pub, but no food at the one by the station anymore (hard to find that detail online!)

Great site very quiet but very difficult to find as not signposted.

After the bridge you do take the first right but it appears to be a dead end as there is road sign which says it is a dead end so a bit confusing.

Had to ring the owner who met us at the end of the road which was much appreciated otherwise we wouldn’t have found it. Narrow access as well.

Thought Stephenson arms was a pub but it’s a house although plenty of good places to eat in Wylam.

Good areas for dog walking.

Not sure if we would stay here again

 Ideal location to visit Newcastle.

Level field, quite and clean.

Shower and loo basic but clean (might be a bit chilly in winter! ) shower is lovely and warm but not a lot of room to get changed and dried.

5 minute walk to train station.

Plenty of pubs in walking distance.

Maybe a little pricey for a CL but wouldn’t stop us revisiting.

OK as a stopover, but we thought that the price of £25 was excessive for what is on offer. It's just an open field, where you need a long electric lead so as to be on the right side away from the trees.

You will pay a small deposit by bank transfer, then the owner will appear at some stage to collect your money in cash.

It's one of the strangest sites to access that we have ever see. Take the A66 from the A1, take the second turn on the left to Wylam. Drive towards the station and take the road to the left immediately before the Tyne bridge.

Follow the road around at the end, between a house which I assume was once the pub and some flats. Cross the cycleway, then down a dirt track and left into the site. The entrance has been improved apparently (!). There is an enclosure with goats and sheep which will interest children.

There is a Co Op just along the road, and several pubs. It's near Hadrian's Wall if that is your thing. George Stephenson's House was closed.

There seems to be a dearth of sites in the immediate area which is a pity, we would have liked the option of a different one.

A typical CL site the better side of the field has no electric hook up but long leads are available to borrow to reach your unit if required.

You need to enter the field very slowly as the caravan bottomed out because of the slope.

Wylam is a very nice village the pubs being friendly and a great rail link to the Tyne valley.

This was our 3rd trip this year Beautiful surroundings, fresh air close by the Tyne. Loads of walks site seeing metro and Newcastle for shopping food shops just a hop away out of the site

We have seen differences from the first visit so had done a bit of upgrading. We love this site dogs have a wild time running after their balls.

It’s very close to family I have in Overingham ( very pretty village with The Swan pub for lovely home made meals ) yes road in and slope aren’t perfect but having spoken to the owner he will be getting it done he has put a gate so is secure for pets /kids.

There’s also a little group of young children in the forest group it’s a joy to watch them play learn and dress up the noise can be loud but we’ve had kids so doesn’t bother us

Fresh water, new toilet and new area to empty the toilet

I for one will be returning again we as a family love this site and there is always more to see

A lovely area with site close to village and railway station. However access road is not really suitable for a caravan and the dip at the gate caused my van to bottom out and smashed 2 of my feet jack's.

The single toilet needs major improvement and but for the fact I had 2 lengths of electric cable hook up would have been difficult.

Very friendly but needs more development

Has possibilities but too expensive for what it is. Toilet is a tiny shed and it's take your own toilet paper.

Emptying your own toilet looks basic but works well. Water on site. Dog friendly. Very uneven drive in and our car bottomed.

Wylam is great though and a good few walks around. Near to Close House Golf Course.

Electric system is weird at moment but expect it to be sorted. It takes more vans and tents than stated. There were 10 tents around the toilet shed one of the days.
