This site is basically a large field but the entrance may be a little tight for larger motorhomes. However there is a removable post on one side of the gate to make access easier.
The amenities are quite basic but this didn't affect us because we're self contained within the motorhome. Our host and his son gave us a very warm welcome and advised on the local facilities. Three pubs within 5-10 mins walking, two of which serve food and real ales. Great place for an overnight stop!
Will definitely return!

This is a superb new site, better situated than any in the Tyneside area, being close to Wylam. Right by the 'cradle of the world's railways' you have instant access to traffic-free cycling on the Sustrans network. Pubs, eateries, shop, even railway all within easy walking distance; also riverside walks by the Tyne. The owners are delightful folk, facilities basic, as advertised, but well laid out. Very quiet; slight aircraft noise, though planes pretty high if overhead, and infrequent. Once pitched you don't actually need to drive anywhere!
