What a pleasant site we found here, had a great 5 night stay, owners just left you to it, showers x 2 and likewise the loo's, male and female that is.
Right on the A49, little noisy where we were placed, but a popular site this is, many booked for the season, at the back there's the Canal, super for walking along either way, up or down, pub right on the lock, serves a good list of food and ales, for being just 50 minutes from home, we never knew so much was about this lovely area.
Well enjoyed, shall definitely pay another visit or two. 👍👍.

Booked this site has it was only 1. 5 hrs away and to try the van out plus a new tow car.
Had 4 very pleasant nights here, nice walking along canal in both directions.
Good sized pitch, nice clean toilet block our only concern was that it took a long time for any warm water to come though the hand basin.
Owners very helpful and pleasant.
Nice quiet site close for us to just nip away and no kids (yippee)
Will not hesitate in returning.

I wanted a site close to Whitchurch to visit a friend and Sunnyoak was perfectly located.
The owners were friendly and helpful when contacted by phone and on arrival and gave me relevant information including codes for gates and toilet block and we discussed where to have breakfast.
At £26 pn incld EHU this is a moderately priced site but I was shocked the next morning to discover I’d have to pay extra for a shower as this wasn’t mentioned nor in the printed information given to me on arrival.
The pitch was level and spacious but if I stayed again I’d ask to be placed further away from the main road. Even though it was a Sunday evening, there was vehicle noise after midnight and I heard the first lorry rumbling past as 0520 and it just got noisier as each hour past.
We often go to sites with the intention of
Meeting up with family and friends. Using this site would be prohibitive and expensive at £4 per person with a maximum of 2 previously notified to the owners!
The site was quite busy so clearly suits some folk and there’s no deposit to pay when you book but I’d probably not return.

Very pleased with the site and facilities. Would have liked free showers and hot water in the loo hand sinks.
Access to the pub is great and security on site reassuring being close to A49.
Friendly welcome, arrival and leaving could be a bit more flexible.
Will return.

Great site. Easy to find and access good.
Be aware that it is close to the A road so ask for a pitch at the back.
Well maintained facilities (don't forget pound coins for shower)
Adjacent to the canal and lots of walks, also to Willeymoor lock pub - which sadly cannot recommend.
Other very good pubs nearby. (Swan in Marbury excellent)

Friendly family run site very helpful manager.
Lovely quiet site just a stone throw from the Llangollen canal by Willeys Moor lock and the tavern (we didn't go into the tavern)

The upside; A peaceful campsite, good clean facilities,
Dog friendly, walk along the canal side, popular pub in minutes walking distance - good food.
The downside; None. (The bins were overflowing?)
