We have just returned from a four day stay at this lovely park. Although the weather has been pretty poor this did not detract from our enjoyment. The site itself is thoughtfully laid out and the amenities are first class and comparable with the standard you would expect in a five star hotel. They were always meticulously clean. Bill, the site owner/warden made us very welcome and was always available for whatever reason and was able to point out local attractions and walks. There is no need to drink and drive as the access to the Willymoor Tavern is a short walk through a gateway at the rear of the site. The variety of ales and beer available and the standard of food (quality and quantity) was excellent.
The gateway also provides access to the canal and to the Sandstone Trail for some enjoyable and interesting walks. We are already making plans for our next visit to Sunnyoak and highly recommend it.

We visited Sunnyoak for our first caravan holiday and Bill & Donna couldn't be more helpful. It's a great site for those people looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. The only thing that I think is missing from the site is WIFI connection as some mobile networks have no reception.
The pub which is within walking distance is a great little place on the doorstep and Whitchurch is a nice little village to visit. There are plenty of supermarkets within a 10-20 min drive of the site so if you forget anything you can just pop out.

Lovely clean site and friendly owner. Greeted us at locked gate and escorted us to our pitch.
Although it describes itself as being 1. 3 miles from Whitchurch it's 2. 5 when walking the canal. Fozzies taxi at £4 was a bargain ride home. Greattoilets and wet room but at £20 a night I don't expect to be paying £1 for a shower. If you want peace and quiet this site is for you. We needed a bit more life so probably won't return.

We received a very friendly welcome on our arrival and given a choice of pitches from hardstanding to grass. The cost was £20. 00 which we thought was very good, no extra cost for awnings or dogs.
The toilet and shower block is quality and brand new for Easter 2015. Not many site owners can say they built the shower block themselves.
There is a pub The Willeymoor lock Tavern which is literally on the doorstep selling great beers with a wide range of quality good food.
Try a walk down the canal to Whitchurch, have a few beers and get a taxi back for £4. 00.
We regard Bill and family has one of our friends. What a little gem of a site keep up the good work Sunnyoak.

Our new favourite site for a weekend trip as its only 45 minutes from home. The site and showers are spotless and the owners very friendly and helpful. Canal and good pub serving good food and real ale next to site with the sand stone trail for a nice dog walk. Whitchurch is with in walking distance past the staircase locks

Just returned from Sunny Oak Caravan site having spent the Bank Holiday weekend there. The site is run by a lovely couple and the facilities are really nice and kept clean at all times. If you ask the owner for some tiling tips I am sure he would be able to help you! ha ha!
Cycled down the canal bank to Whitchurch lovely scenery but a bit overgrown at some points (was about 2 and a half miles) Whitchurch is a lovely old and quaint town with plenty of eating places and pubs. Got a taxi there and back the following day with Fozzies (very good service and only £4 each way).
Went for a meal at the Willeymoor Tavern next door, very nice pub food.
All in all a very well run and friendly site.

Just wanted to pass on our thanks to Billy and his family for a lovely time on their site.
You can really see the thought, attention to detail and investment that's gone in to their redevelopment of the site.
Facilities were first class and we would readily recommend to anyone.
Pub just 100yds away was also really friendly with a great selection of Ales and honest pub grub.
Well worth a visit.

We were one of the first visitors to this site when it opened last week, and weren't disappointed. The facilities are second to none - the shower block etc. Is brand new and houses wet rooms with power showers, laundry facilities and indoor washing up facilities if required.
We met the owner on arrival and he was really friendly - couldn't do enough for you really.
Whitchurch itself is a 5 minute drive away, and within 200yds at the edge of the camping field runs the shropshire union canal, next to which is the Willeyside lock tavern, a lovely place for a pint and although we didn't try the food it looked nice and was very popular - short hours though - only open for a couple of hours 12 til 2, then open again at six. Nice but quiet.
The only downside with the site was that it was a bit pricey compared to others in the area, and you had to pay extra for a hard standing. The traffic noise on the Sunday morning was noticeable but not disturbing
Overall a lovely stay and would recommend
