Clean and well maintained peacefully site, helpful owners, hardcore chippings a bit severe,
Directions from the north would be helpful,
Nice local pub but check opening hours Sunday and Monday.

A Lovely Site
Cash only on arrival… £25/night with ehu…
Very secure…
Large hard standing pitch…
Spotless toilet/shower block (shower is on a meter £1 for 5 minutes and believe it or not that’s plenty of time)…
Grounds are really well kept… Dogs are allowed but children aren’t…
Courtesy is expected after 2230hrs keep the noise down…
Pub just a short stroll away with good food
NB: During high season a weekend can only be booked for 2 nights.
A petty criticism, which won’t change and no fault of the site, road noise as it’s on the A49. But saying that it’s not off putting. Ear plugs in bed 👍
We will definitely go back

Nice, but a bit overpriced, no scenery on site, more scenic at my storage compound,
As the bays are big, but too close to your neighbour, gravel for your awning not practical, would be better on a grass verge.
Charging for shower use is ridiculous for the nightly charges.
Canal walks are basic and nothing else to see then left and right walks as there is not much to see.

Really good campsite, close to the Llangollen canal and Willeybrook Inn.
2 mile walk to Grindley Brook to the flight of locks and Lockside Cafe which serves fabulous cakes!
Facilities were spotless and one of the best toilet blocks I’ve visited, wardens very helpful and approachable,
Definitely worth another stay.

Lovely site. All hard standing. Toilet block was spotless.
Good security measures and a warm welcome from Donna (even in the pouring rain)
Within easy reach of Whitchurch.
Would definitely stay again.

Returned to this site at the end of lockdown and they have made some nice improvements since we were here last year.
The pitches have been widened and some lovely planters put in around the site.
The toilets were open and very clean. We walked along the adjacent canal and the towpath has been cleared, presumably by the fishing association, to make fishing easier.
The family running the site all work hard and keep the site in very good condition.
The warden is very helpful and friendly without being intrusive.
Will return!

Great, friendly, clean site, easy access with a nice pub at the bottom.
Great halfway location for visiting our family up on the Wirral, as we live in Birmingham.
Lovely stay and walks if you have provisions but didn’t find a local shop.

An excellent site on the A49 near Whitchurch, reasonably priced and perfectly positioned for us en route to visiting family in Southport, so having found it we'll be back.
The owners were very helpful when booking us in and when we arrived. The front gates are kept padlocked, but a quick phone call and the owner turned up straight away to let us in. Make sure you've got their number handy!
Toilets and showers were cleaned frequently and were spotless.
The site backs on to the canal by a lock with a pub across the bridge. Excellent food at a very reasonable price.
Although right by the A49 we were unaware of the traffic from our pitch. We were at the back of the site - and as close as possible to pub, win, win!
