We didn’t try the pub so can’t comment on that. We were given two pitches to choose from on arrival and didn’t really like either. The pitch we chose allegedly had better wifi which was very sporadic and we weren’t very impressed as it was directly in front of another motorhome (don’t think the other Motorhome were impressed either). Felt like a bit of an overspill spot.

No water but had electric and no view to speak of other than a scrap yard opposite (old tractors) etc and another static right outside the door.

No mobile signal and like I said wifi next to pointless.

We spoke with the lady and said we were disappointed and to be fair she offered us our money back…. But no mobile signal/ wifi to see if any where else had availability but nothing to be found locally with it being a bank holiday weekend and hardly any wifi to find another site.

Now for the shower block. I used the shower on the Saturday am. I got the last of three shower cubicles. The floor had cut grass all over! The sign on the door said to keep the door shut as birds would go in and leave a mess as it was blackberry season. The block was very steamy (need more working extraction fans!). No where in the shower cubicle to hang clothes at all and all the shower partitions were full of condensation. So all most of my clothes got wet as had to put them over the top of the shower cubicles, not very nice imo.

We left after two days but had paid for three at £35 per night.

Also noise from the pub on the Friday night till late despite saying no noise late night

Don’t go if you want mobile signal or wifi. We won’t be back!

Booked the Yorkshire Hussar for an overnight stopover on the way home. What a find

When we arrived we were greeted with a warm smile & shown to our generously sized pitch which had water and electricity at each

The site facilities were good and being at the back of the village pub was a bonus

We had an evening meal at the pub and all agreed the food was delicious, generous in size and very good value. The live band after were very good too

We will definitely look to spend longer here next time

We have stayed here a few times before and there have been a few changes. Not only to the campsite but to the village since out last visit.

The site was not open, but we were allowed to stay on the new gravel pitches with electric hook up for £10 while the campsite was closed. We could not comment on using the old toilet block as we didn't use these.

We had a beautiful meal with drinks in the fabulous cosy pub, with real open fire. It was busy and we would suggest you book a table when you book this site, if you want to eat here.

There used to be 2 pubs in the village, now there is only one, so another reason to book early.

This site is lovely, and close to Ripon for a great day out.

We will look forward to coming back again in the very near future.

Everything about this 24 hours. Day was excellent. The welcome was lovely and everybody was very accommodating.

We could choose which pitch suited us the most for our Needs.

The food on Sunday was absolutely delicious! One of the best roasts we have tasted. Great atmosphere in the pub and loads going on.

Really enjoyed everything about it. Good camping facilities.

 We had a pleasant stay

Toilets and showers were very good and plenty of hot water

We would stay again,

The only 1 thing was 1 dog barking the owner didn't really do anything about it

But all in all good site.
