Arrived around midday Saturday with our family and tent, could only stay for 1 night as we had work and school Monday and it states minimum of 2 nights however the amazing and very accommodating staff allowed up to pitch up and pay for late check out on Sunday at 6pm, so essentially had 2 full days for bargain price.
Pitch was immaculate, as were all the facilities. Children are 14, 11 and 9 and they absolutely loved it. Small, clean enclosed play area, little arcade with a pool table and a few games… just enough to keep them entertained.
Have visited my daughter’s van which she has spotted there a few times and had a great time spending the day down there. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
Bin areas are clean and tidy, no rubbish or mess anywhere… short distance in to Porthcawl and surrounding pubs a little walk away.
We even enquired about a seasonal pitch to purchase a tourer in coming months.
Write up on the park is spot on, no rubbish ‘bells and whistles’ or ‘make believe’
Perfect family/dog friendly campsite in great location for a quick getaway in peace.
We will definitely be returning, we wouldn’t hesitate to visit again, but will 100% be spending a longer stay there.

Amazing staff! Very friendly community a true home from home place to be - Outstanding facilities and phenomenal variety of food trucks in attendance weekly.
We are seasonal pitch owners however I would be more than gutted if I ever only stayed one night as it’s such a hearty place to be.
Everyone is welcoming both guests and seasonal owners - were our own kind of family down here. The kids just take each other under their wings and play together.
The neighbours are like friends we never knew we needed & the Staff are so polite, well-mannered & positive. Nothing is ever a bother to them - I must see them 20+ times a day and every second I feel welcomed.

Pitch was a very generous size for our large tent so we had plenty of room to park next to the tent. The staff on site were super friendly and helpful and the facilities were fabulous.
I know the site has had some poor reviews and the only thing I think could be improved on is the disruption caused by other children on site. We had a ball kicked into our tent a few times, and children were left to play in the play area and around the campsite until late.
I don't hold this against the staff on site though. It is sad that others are affected by parents not supervising /monitoring their children and I felt very sorry for the staff being left to try and get children to stop playing at 10pm and go back to their vans.
So, the only negative is not the fault of the park itself and they're actively trying to improve it - we also didn't allow it to ruin our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed it in every other way and will most certainly be back.

Everyone was so packed in we only stayed 2 nights instead of 4, we booked and paid for an extra car but good job we didn’t take it because at one point we had cars parked either side, such a shame. Less crowded it would be a nice site.
We didn’t use any facilities or went in to the shop,

If you like a traditional campsite without a lot of razzmatazz then this is the place for you
Mainly level grass pitches, clean if somewhat dated facilities by some standards
Either. 35 min walk into Porthcawl or 15 mins to bus stop
Wardens are very friendly and accommodating including towing us off after an horrendous weekend of almost solid rain
Visiting caterers appear at some weekends throughout the season

We were a party of 10 in 3 touring caravans. Rather strange that we weren't given pitch numbers until we arrived, although we were assured that we would be together, and we were.
The problem was we were very near the play park which meant that children congregated there. They also played ball games on the green area outside our caravans, kicking the ball into awnings and hitting the caravans several times! The parents seemed not be bothered by this at all.
The site was lovely as were the wardens who were very helpful. The approach to the site is through a very narrow road, you wouldn't want to meet another caravan coming the other way!
A well stocked shop which was open long hours. 10/12 minute walk to Nottage where there are 3 pubs. A short drive to Porthcawl, which you probably could walk. Toilets and showers were well maintained and there are disabled facilities.
I would visit the site again but not during school holidays unless I could pick a pitch away from the play park. A green area for ball games would be a good addition to the site.

Staff very friendly, toilets/showers were very clean and grounds well maintained. 3 Village pubs and local beaches all within walking distance, Major, major, major concern over the approach road as its very narrow and a railway bridge 9 foot 3 inches high at lowest point.
Our autotrail tracker FB went through with literally 2 inches to spare ( a hairy experience, which I would not want to duplicate again).
Site was fairly busy, which I guess is what it should be in the summer months. Quiet at night. Paid £22. 50/night for MOHO, incl elec. And 2 adults
