Pros:
1: Proximity to Nottage village and Porthcawl
Cons:
1: Had to pay full fee 6 weeks before arrival
2: Access lane to the site very overgrown - be very careful if arriving with new van or a wider van, hedges scrape both sides
3: Small, tight pitches, tents in particular were shoe-horned in during busy periods, looked like a real fire hazard
4: Very high percentage of seasonal pitches, residents were very cliquey
5: Despite being stated as forbidden in the T & C's we witnessed a dog being left howling in a seasonal unit for over 2 hours; a dog roaming free and pooping on our pitch; plenty of car movement around 10pm - midnight; and the odd gazebo!
6: The smell of the toilets was at times overwhelming
7: The sanitary bins in the ladies loos had all their lids missing (bar one) - not nice at all

We booked for 5 nights over the phone. No internet booking available. It was mixed up by the reception staff so we had an issue on arrival
We were also lead to believe it was nearer to Porthcawl golf club, for walking, than it was so had to drive and unfortunately the gates are closed at 10pm and not opened until between 7. 30/8. 00am in morning. We needed to leave for club at 7am son one day We had asked if they could be opened at 7 that day but it proved so difficult we stayed out that night elsewhere
The pitches are very close together. I was a bit concerned we wer3 too close.
There are a lot of seasonal pitches there also.
Personally we found it very noisy and some children used our unit as a place to run around, under our windows.
I wouldn’t go back and did not enjoy our stop at this site at all

We really liked this site, staff very friendly, toilets/showers were very clean and grounds well maintained. Village pubs and local beaches all within walking distance.
I would have slight concern over the approach road as its very narrow [although distance is short] I wouldn't like to meet another unit coming the other way.
We would stay here again.

Stayed 2 nights on route from lincolnshire to west wales and we wish we could have stayed longer.
Excellent site with very good facilities. A well stocked shop and only a 10 minute walk into the village. Very friendly staff and the site is set in some lovely countryside.
We will be back when touring the area.

It was our first visit to brodawel site and have to say it was one of the best we've been to quiet clean fab showers and toilets and loved the peace and quiet during the evenings.
We walked into porthcawl which took us half hour at the most. The owners was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them.
We'll definitely be regular visitors this year

Our first visit to the site 3 night stay non elec (elec sold out) Thurs - Sun arrived at 3 made welcome by lady warden showed facilities and given a choice of several pitches. Space between pitches not huge but adequate clean and plenty of hot water.
The site is a 38 min walk to main shopping area in Porthcawl ( some say 30 I'm nearly 60 and not fit ) there are 3 pubs close by 15 mins same direction The Farmers is dog friendly and serves food. The access road is narrow but only 700 metres to entrance.
We got taxis back from town twice both times only cost £5 and accepted the dog, Elvis weekend so parking was limited. The site was quiet and all our neighbours were friendly and helpful to each other. The site is open 6 months of the year and stores for the other 6 months. Several of our neighbours were on this option.
The site is quite level but there was a dip between the road and where we sited which was ok but we had to be careful as there's little clearance on our mover. We enjoyed our stay and will come again.

We received a warm welcome on arrival to the site. The owners are friendly and helpful. It was easy to find the site from the directions on the website.
The site is well maintained and the facilities are obviously looked after and regularly cleaned.
We were in a tent with electric hook up. There is a slight slope but the ground is flat and we had no problem putting in tent pegs. Easy access to recycling, fresh water and dishwashing facilities.
A great little site with great views but only minutes from the motorway.

Its a good caravan site. Very noisy during the day and early evening. A tractor driving round the site at 9. 30 didn't help matters.
Its very well oranised for the permanent/touring vans but a bit ad-hoc for tourers.
The facilities are good. The toilets and showers are good and there is very good recycling facilities. Well stocked shop sells everything from beer to beans and the staff are cheerful and helpful.
Site is well placed for the smal local village and for Porthcawl which is 10 mins drive away.
Overall, a good family fiendly base.

Very pleasant site with basic but clean facilities. Great wifi. Peaceful and picturesque location, ideal for a quiet relaxing break. We had a gorgeous reasonably priced meal in a lovely pub in Nottage (The Rose and Crown) just a 10 minute walk from the site. Two great beaches, Rest bay and Pink bay are less half an hour walk away, with Porthcawl a little further. Recommended.

Here as I type, this is our last Day, The site is what you would expect from a seaside resort site, its Friendly, Clean and well situated for the beaches at porthcawl. The toilet / shower blocks are clean, very adequate, but could do with a bit of Tlc here and there, weve had far worse on other sites, Lovely hot water, could possibly do with a shelf in the shower cubicle in the gents to put washing stuff on, and maybe another coat hook. The actual site it self has quite a few seasonal caravans, and sadly those people ant looking after the ground around their units, If I was the owner of the site, I would be telling a few caravan owners to tidy their pitches up, or I would do it, and charge them. My only downfall on this site is, we are pitched under 3 over head power lines, and when the rain stops, they drip and make a hek of a racket on the roof of our caavan, kept us awake the first night. So when we return (yes we will be coming back) I will ask to be placed away from the cables if possible. Ive read on other review sites about this site being a 'cram em in site' ok it gets full, but obviously the owners are governed by Planning permission and fire Regs, and if hes within those regs and rules, then why not fill it up. There's plenty of room for everyone, pitches are of a reasonable size so no problem as far as we are concerned. Other people have complained about noisy people, its a seaside caravan park that has kids on it for goodness sake, we have had no complaints about late night noise at all, and even it there was late night noise, it Comes from Inconsiderate fellow Campers, nothing to do with the owner or the sites possion, some Campers really do need to learn a bit of manners towards others. We would recommend this a s a Family, friendly, seaside site, we will Definately be returning, and hope the weather is a tad better than it has been :-) Oh one more thing, Hopfully the owners are reading this >>>> please consider placing a Speed limit on the site and posting signs for people to see, weve witnessed a few cars driving as if they are not on a camp site, but on a main road, Again people, this unacceptable driving comes from fellow Campers, SLOW DOWN, THERES KIDS ABOUT.
