 Fantastic site, location is amazing,

Also the bloke in the van who sorted my pitch couldn't help enough, sorted me a sheltered pitch in windy conditions.

I'll definitely be back.

Great views and access to the sea and coastal path.

Easy walking distance to Parrog beach and Newport.

Friendly and accommodating owners.

Hot showers and wash up facilities. What more do you need. We had a fabulous time!

Basic facilities with a couple of showers.

Easy access to the coastal path.

Stunning views across the bay and towards Newport.

Newport is a 20 minute walk away.

This was one of the very first sites we stayed at when we began motorhome life.

We loved Ty Canol way back then and we love it now and the showers and toilets have come a long way since then!

It is a more basic site but, IMHO, all the better for it.

It is not cheap, £30 per night with electricity, but the location is stunning!

I just hope nobody reads this review!

Nothing has changed here over 4 decades apart from the addition of electric hook ups and tiling in the amenity blocks.

The upside to this is a thankfully basic site with stunning views, and a very amiable host who still delivers a warm welcome and an interesting chat.

The downside is a need for a modest upgrade of the amenities to be closer to the competition. It's not cheap either. But, you make your own choices.

This is still a site and location to be recommended as an enjoyable overall package.

Smashing site. Basic facilities but clean. Very quiet.

Friendly people.

Great view.

Huw the owner came to chat every day and share a tot of whiskey.

Windy as always.

Bit of a walk into Newport but ok.

You stay here for the location, def not the facilities which are extremely basic.

But you fall in love with this place for other reasons.

It has its devotees for this reason.

I have been here many times over the years and it is a cracking site and owner Huw is a gem.

But since he put up his prices I don't think I will be returning for a while. £30 per night (with no electric) is too much considering the facilities with toilet paper on the outside of the toilet for some reason.

Such a shame the price went up from £20 to £30 last year when the toilets and showers were not even open.

£20 was about right I think.

We stayed with Hugh in September for a week. We had a wonderful time. Fantastic views and facilities. Many a Joke and a whisky to be had with Hugh the owner. 5 minutes to the fantastic beach where if you have dogs you can give them a good run, boat club and cafe 15 minutes away. The town 10 minutes away, some superb places to eat and drink. Lots to see and do. If you don't enjoy your holiday with Hugh you should go and see a doctor. We'll be back

The campsite offers a beautiful view over the sea and a mountain on the other side. There is a beatiful walk alond the seaside to Newport.

The toilet facilities are clean, but basic.

The price is quite high, as there are only 2 showers and 4 toilets, causing long waiting in front of the bathrooms.

Pitch.
