Nice site, friendly clean and good facilities.
Our electric cable wasn’t long enough and the staff kindly loaned us one.
The negative for me was being on a pitch aimed more for families.
But very good, we wouldn’t stay again as the location wasn’t right for us.

A very friendly greeting and a site with most beautiful views of Swanage, the local pub The Kings Arms langton Matravers is an easy walk from the site and has very good reasonably priced food it also has a lovely rear garden which is most popular with humans and their 4 legged family members.
Back to the site, the facilities are kept beautifully clean, included with the facilities are charging points for phones etc ( very handy) and access to a fridge and freezer also very helpful. The only fault was that the showers have one temperature hot and I like a cool shower.
We will be going again and would like to thank Val & Mike for their cheery and helpful attitudes.

The campsite is a large field with an informal layout. Located on top of the ridge that rises from Swanage and goes up through Langton Matravers to Kingston it can be rather windy!
It’s within walking distance of the coast at Dancing Ledge; walk east for Swanage and west for Chapmans Pool. The Swanage steam railway is also within walking distance.
The facilities are adequate and kept clean (twice daily cleaning). Showers are 20p for a two minute warm shower.
The owners, Val and Mick, are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. A power cut was fixed the same night with a visit from the electricity company.
Nearest pub is less than a mile away in Langton. The legendary Square and Compass in Worth Matravers is a little further along a bridle way that runs near the back of the campsite. The nearest shop is in the pub in Langton.
That said, Val and Mick are retiring this season, so the future will depend on the new management.

Loved everything about this site.
Excellent views of the Isle of Wight.
Really quiet.
Coffee van near entrance.
An easy walk to bus stops and to a village pub.

We liked this very relaxed site, not least because it has easy access to the coast path and there's an easy stroll along footpaths to the village pub.
You can pitch anywhere in the large field, with signs requiring a 6m distance between units. What isn't evident from the photos is how uneven the ground is - not much of an overall slope but it is covered in hillocks and hollows, no doubt from quarrying operations at some time. Find the top of a hillock or the middle of a hollow and the van is level!
The facilities were kept very clean and the water hot, but they are limited: 2 showers in the mens, 3 in the womens. Your 20p only lasts 2 minutes, so people move on quickly and we never had to queue. The chemical disposal is a quirky design but very effective and convenient.
We didn't have electricity and it didn't look reliable, with an array of adaptors in adaptors hanging off each socket such as we have never seen anywhere before.
The coastal walking here is superb: one way to Chapmans Pool, the other to Durlston Head and Swanage.

We decided on this campsite as the views look great and so did the reviews. It's also conveniently located for us travelling from Bristol
There is no check in required when we went (granted I think booking is a thing after the end of May) so we chose a spot at the top of the field and set up.
The following day a very pleasant lady came around and took our money for that previous night and the next night. She was pretty chilled and didn't read us the list of things you are not allowed to do (like too many other campsites).
I know there are rules but sometimes the welcome from some campsites is listing the rules in a stern manner which is a put off when you are there for a relaxing holiday.
The toilets and showers were clean though very cold one morning and then very hot the next. The lady came by on day three and asked if we'd showered and I told her it was cold. She had already decided to reimburse 40p (20p for 2 mins) and just handed it over which was nice.
The campsite was relatively empty and mainly camper vans but also a few tents and motorhomes.
There are hooks towards to the bottom of the field which didn't need but it's nice to know they are there. The view across Swanage is lovely and on a clear day you can see the white cliffs of The Isle of Wight easily.
The campsite is partly surrounded by fields with cows and sheep so it was nice to hear them talking to each other during our stay.
There are lovely walks down to the south to the water and a bus stop is just outside the campsite on the main road that has hourly (this may change so don't rely on our experience) that go to Swanage and the other way to Poole via Corfe castle.
There is also a nice little pub you can walk to in about 10mins which has a beer garden that also cooks fresh pizza. The owners are super friendly as are the locals (surprisingly friendly actually!).
All in all, I'd give this a 9/10. It's hard to give anything a 10/10 as nothing is that perfect so that is the highest I would want to give a campsite to be honest.
We'll definitely be back.

Val and Mike, the owners were very friendly and accommodating right from the start, fantastic communication when booking and very patient with us first time campers!
The site has stunning views across the purbeck hills looking over to isle of wight, gorgeous surroundings to walk. Langton is a friendly lovely little place right near swanage.
Amenities were always kept clean on site, showers hot and the request to be quiet after 11pm was adhered to and welcomed after our adventures out!
Bus stops right near site to get you as far as Poole.
We were a group of 7 and each of us had a fantastic time.

Great relaxed campsite. Love the fact we can have a camp fire. Friendly staff especially in the shop.
Only thing I didn’t like is the porta loos in each of the camping fields. But we walked further to the main toilets. Extra Outside separate showers were nice and easy to use.
Take away food was tasty especially pizza. Be great if they opened at lunch time though. Larger kids play area would help keep the kids entertained.
Good value site. With loads of camping room and chilled atmosphere. Going again next year.

The toilets is clean and the showers is very spacious to make the shower to my son, one shower is 0, 20 pi for 2 minutes.
It is water for use in more place it is space for wash the things for kitchen and a space with fridge to put all you need.
