This static caravan park and touring site is under new ownership and is now called Symonds Yat Caravan Park. It is open but there is no website yet so phone to book. Nice site near the river. Good toilet block, pubs and cafes within easy walk. Unfortunately no TV or satellite reception.

Lovely location, friendly staff on arrival, shower block kept clean.

The site was fairly busy but really quiet and family orientated.

Well maintained.

Very beautiful and relaxing site. Lovely big shower block, close access to woodland walks along river wye.

Riverside pub very friendly but cash only!

The Wyeknot pub( excuse spelling) has signs 'Locals Only Inside' and put a couple of tables in carpark for others??, Not welcoming.

But Sterrets campsite very helpful and friendly and always a joy to return

Great time had kayaking and walking over a long weekend. Campsite and facilities extremely clean/ covid safe and well maintained by very efficient manageress and staff.

Easy access to river launch and boat hire on next door site for £2 charge. Bar and refreshments also available next door as well as boat trips.

Only criticism a group of grown men on annual kayaking trip stayed one night and seemingly after visiting the bar kept up very loud racket/ talking/ swearing till about 2am, they should be ashamed of themselves and banned next year!

But we'll be back.

Great well kept site. New owners only been there for 8 weeks. Made us feel very welcome. Very wet weather but so helpful taking us to our pitches and accommodating most of us to be together from our Canoe Club. Chatted often to us as they were always available.

Great new block of loos and showers and separate disabled room too. Door coded so only campers can use.

Lovely area to canoe along the river.

I took my caravan and stayed in the very small field they reserve for vans. Personally I would only put 4-6 vans on. However it was rammed in. No firebreaks between vans. The van beside us couldn’t put their awning up as not enough room.

One toilet for this field. You have to walk to the tent field to shower, which had a nice toilet block which is locked, so children have to be escorted to use the toilet.

Doesn’t look that welcoming on drive in and you have to tow around the site to get to the pitch which was tight in places with peoples cars parked.

Pub was great. Didn’t do food, however knew the local takeaway number who delivers and they let you eat inside the pub.

Amusements were dated but kids enjoyed.

Hired a canoe which was great fun.

Would not return though. I like my firebreak space and personal space too.

Popped in to this site, whilst staying at another in the area, to see what it was like.

The site owner / manager chatted to us and explained where things were, and was extremely friendly and helpful.

It's perhaps a little offputting as you arrive, and drive past an amusement park, and through closely packed static caravans. However once you get past these into the touring and camping areas it's a million times better. There's a small field with hardstandings and grass for electric hookups, and a much larger attractive and flat field for non hook pitches (tents, caravans or motorhomes) In this field, there's a very new looking toilet and shower block which was well presented.

The site is brilliantly located for access to the footpaths along the River Wye, and a five minute walk into Symonds Yat West, where you will find two pubs, plus the rope ferry across to Symonds Yat East.

Just returned from a lovely stay at Sterretts Caravan Park. The site is under new management who are working really hard to make this a fantastic campsite. They were also friendly and approachable.

Brand new showers and toilets have been built which are very clean, sadly there seemed to be kids determined to try and wreck the place by placing books down a toilet. Really quite pathetic.

There is a new children's play area recently built and a short stairway path that takes you to the local pubs and river walk.

We were in a motorhome and had a good sized pitch, excellent location for river walks and good dog friendly pubs nearby. Also the Old Court Hotel nearby which we found reasonably well priced.

Plus a butterfly farm, hedge maze and crazy golf just before the park which made for a good day out.

Would certainly recommend this campsite, but please do not let children unsupervised in the toilets.

Amazing trip! The statics are beautifully clean with everything you need and anything you forget! Short walk to the river with miles of walking. Owners are lovely and very helpful access to a grocery shop for anything you need and river cruises and canoe hire on your doorstep. Will come back and would recommend to anyone!
