 Great views from most pitches.

Nice facilities, 2 nights here, friendly, helpful wardens.

Berwick is a nice little town, walkable from the site.

We also had a quick drive as far up as Eyemouth.

Nice site, some of the pitches have lovely sea views. Very near beach and the town, easy walking to both.

Good dog area just off the site. Short walk to dog friendly beach, and a nice walk along the front.

All the pitches are hard standing. Only 4 grass pitches for small tents.

Marshalls Cafe TD15 2QT, was just a short drive. Their food is amazing and reasonably priced.

Berwick leisure centre has a nice swimming pool, but you have to book online.

Only 15 min walk from the site.

We would go again.

Pitches 7, 8 and 9 are the ones to get if you can get them here. They are very spacious grass pitches with awning towards the front of the site with great views across the bay.

Water/Waste and Chem point very near by - though as others have pointed out, rubbish needs taken down to the central point.

We did a day trip from here down to Bamburgh to see the castle and the Grace Darling RNLI museum. Also nipped along to Seahouses later in the day - good day out and only around half an hour's drive down the A1.

Lots of local information provided by the wardens.

Club sites sadly pricing themselves out the market unfortunately.

Original caravan park named Spittal, that being the local town's name (photo in ladies). Very helpful Manager on check-in, advising which pitches were available and which of these he'd recommend.

We found one with a view of town and evening sun - trees can block both of these on some pitches. Usual 10:30-12:00 cleaning time, the disabled toilet was left unlocked one morning but not the other.

A bit of a trek to fill water or empty grey waste. Quite a "busy" site, many one-nighters leaving & arriving. £43pn - what we expect on CAMC sites, relatively expensive.

We didn't notice the East Coast mainline trains (which seemed to stop overnight), being pitched farthest from the line on the lower rim of the site. Unexpectedly, the gulls in the nearby colony were loud enough to wake me in the night. Adjacent recreation field for dog's comfort breaks, huge beach at Spittal for longer walks, plus the England Coast Path.

Information the best of any CAMC site - tide times, weather, bus times, local walks etc, and the Manager pointed out the path down to the walk into Berwick-upon-Tweed.

The old bridge is preparing for its 400th anniversary; we saw a full salmon net being pulled in by a group of men on a sand bar; we found the lower part of town by the river had several interesting galleries, an excellent kitchen shop, a beer festival and fascinating side alleys (many the subject of Lowry paintings).

The upper part of town is more run-down, with chain & charity shops, but has the walk along the Ramparts which give good views. There's a very interesting little Council-run museum in the Barracks that's well worth a visit; our dog was allowed in too.

Day trips - Paxton House; and go to Eyemouth for hot roast salmon from any of many fish shops plus an small harbour. Also recommend the walled garden at Floors castle, and the town of Kelso.

Located high up on a rise, many of the pitches have a lovely view of the sea and some of the town. However the layout is a bit like a long street.

Usual high standard of cleanliness and number of facilities but this site, like all CMC sites now, have moved the bins and recycling away from the utility areas and there isn't even a food waste bin in the washing up room.

It's a fairly easy reasonable length walk into the town (if you don't mind a little climb on the return) there are buses into town too where there is a castle to explore but the town itself appears somewhat neglected.

We found a brilliant coffee roasters though in Silver St. 10/10 for coffee and scones.

We stayed at this campsite for 3 nights while travelling around the North Country.

Would recommend this site as it has good seaviews. The staff extremely helpful.

We walked from the campsite into Berkwick town, which is a good half an hour walk (if a fast walker).

The town doesn't have a lot to see and not a lot of eating places.

We did a guided tour (which was 3 hours long!), but very interested and showed you places that would have easily have been missed.

The toilets/showers were very clean.

The location was scenic and only a 20min walk into Berwick.

The shower facilities were very clean and easily accessible.

Check in was quick and easy with no hassles.

Spent 2 nights at this site which is within walking distance of the town - a pleasant town to explore.

The site is located within a residential area and also backs onto a train line - there were several trains passing regularly but they were not too intrusive due to the low speed.

There isn't a dog walk on site but the estuary is a few minutes walk away where the dogs can be let off lead.

Very disappointed. The site info makes much about its location close to the A1. Sadly it doesn't mention the fact the east coast railway line is adjacent to the site and when you've got a reactive dog that's a real issue.

Also arrived to find that many more suitable pitches were coned off. The site wardens told us this was in preparation for a training event the next day. As a result we actually struggled to find a pitch big enough to take our 6. 4m van and had no alternative to stay in one of the higher ones close to the railway.

We were supposed to stay for two nights but left after one - the wardens did offer to find a better pitch for us but by that time the dog was so distressed we felt it better just to leave

Fantastic site, great location, very clean, friendly staff, well organised.

Lot of noise from site tractor and site garden maintenance.

Lovely sea view.
