Gorgeous views but very exposed to weather. Recommend site 13,14,15 and 16 to keep Aframe pointing into Northerly wind. When arriving on site there is a board in a green portacabin that tells you of your reserved pitch. But no one seems to take much notice of it!
Showers free, hot and powerful but no heating in shower room area. No steam extraction so everyone on toilets can't see what they're doing and no one can use mirrors.
One washer £2 for a 45min wash, one dryer 20p for 5min dry - only use one coin at a time and be patient.
Lots of good Fish'n'chip shops in Seahouses - I recommend Pinnacles. Lots of castles and good beaches to be found.

Stayed here for a week in June, and wish we could have stayed longer - lovely views, site is almost "terraced" so most people get a good view. We found some of the Grass pitches extremely tight by usual CC standards - however don't let this put you off. Because of the size of the site I was a little surprised to find only one toilet block, with only 4 shower cubicles, (which got VERY busy) but we managed OK - its only a little niggle & nothing serious. The views from our pitch were great - right across the Tweed with views of all 3 bridges. Berwick is a lovely town, with plenty of bars & restaurants. We never walked to town, but it was only £3.70 in a taxi so it gives you an idea of how close everything is. We would love to return to this site, as its ideally located for trips to Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Seahouses and also Scotland. Northumberland is a lovely part of the country and we cant wait to return.

We stayed here totally unplanned. We called the site the day before and booked in. It did seem a little strange driving through a housing estate to the site but once we'd pitched up and seen the views we were happy. Even the railway line didn't bother us! Couldn't see Holy Island from the site (too cloudy/misty) but the views of Berwick across the River Tweed and the Spittal were fab. Washroom/toilet facilities were excellent. We had a problem with our motorhome while staying on site and the wardens were very friendly and helpful - they even lent us tools and rope (don't ask!). The site is within easy walking distance of Berwick down via the docks area and across the river. The city walls, Elizabethan ramparts and barracks are really nice - well kept. The town itself seemed a little 'dirty' but there were nice parts. The river walk to the ruins of the castle was lovely. **BEWARE - the town is NOT a very doggie friendly area! There were only 2 pubs that would allow dogs in.

First time we have been to this site even though we only live an hour away but what a great place clean and tidy. Only one shower/toilet block but always clean great views across the river to berwick and a twenty min walk into the town along the river through tweedmouth although there is a regular bus service from outside the site gates. Great beaches within walking distances and a couple of good pubs in spittal itself and good organic cafe as well. We are going back in two weeks time

We found the location of this site a little unusual on a hill in the middle of a housing estate! However don't let the drive in put you off, once on site the houses are not noticeable and the views across the Tweed mouth are fantastic! Great location for exploring the local beaches - kept the kids entertained for hours. The site has great areas to pitch if you have young children but these don't necessarily have the best views, but knowing the children are safe to play is always a plus. The railway line is there but didn't bother us in the slightest. We enjoyed it so much we booked an extra night. We will go back as it's location allowed us to dirve to secluded bays, walk to the town and local beach as well as easily get to the supermarket. Great clean and beautiful site!

We only booked in for 2 nights but will spend longer next time. All the family loved the site and the wardens are very helpful. A fab view and only a short walk to the beach. Site is on a hill and the main east rail line runs behind the site, a wall blocks most of the noise out.

Usual Caravan Club facilities - always excellent. Pitches are all hardstanding and with plenty of room. As set on a hill side we had good views of the sea at Spittal. A short walk into Berwick along the river and across one of the bridges. Some lovely walks - information available in the office, and the beach at Spittal is just down the road. Used this as a base for Lindisfarne visit (Holy Island), which can be reached via a causeway when the tide recedes so you need to know the times and plan. The Farne Islands are well worth a visit, you can get a boat from Seahouses, where you can see the many breeds of seabirds and seals in abundance.

Typical CC facilities. Don't be put off by the drive through the council estate or the steep access. Views are quite good and the railway immediately behind the site didn't cause us any problems through the night. Easy walk into Berwick along the harbour area and old bridge, The Lowry trail and Elizabethan rampards are worth walking. Well stocked Spar shop on the way (about 5 mins walk from site). Would probably only stay here to visit Berwick.

Agree with the comments regarding the access and adjacent railway line, also typical CC quality of site amenities. The CC didn't include the grand stand view overlooking the Harrow football pitch for those on pitches 71 to 80. Great local derby on Sunday morning at 11.00am. Why the CC deems Seaview to be located at Berwick, when in fact it is at Spittal, must be for commercial reasons. The name is derived from an old leper hospital. However, having been a constant visitor and part time resident on the holiday site over in Berwick for over forty years I feel remiss for allowing myself to share my love of the area with you. Turn right out of the site and follow the signs to Spittal beach and Promenade, a favourite location of L S Lowry, (see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/tyne/3128799.stm). Three pubs, (one dog friendly), and a small newsagents, general dealers shop along the main street. The Spittal foreshore area and beach has been renovated in the last few years and even now demolition work continues on an old site at the north end of the beach. At the south end there is a super block paved promenade with a children’s play area, bouncy castle, swings etc; with a small cafeteria, ice cream, and takeaway. When the tide is out it's a great walk from the mouth of the Tweed, on the Spittal shore, along the waters edge of the beach to the promenade. Even when the tide is in there are 400 yards plus of beach for the children, GOOD WEATHER permitting. Of course there is Berwick with its three bridges, Old, New, and Border, also its own share of "Lowrymania" with super walks around the old town walls. Watch the salmon fishermen netting at the south side of the river adjacent to the dock. During the last seven years Berwick has staged it's own Military Tattoo with considerable success. (There, now I've told you enough and I probably won't get booked in as easy again).

July 2005 Wonderful location with great views. The pitches were rather cramped and difficult to reverse into in some cases. Get there early for a better pitch which is not too far from the shower and toilet block and includes a view. The short walk into Spittal is well worth it, nice little place.
