We stayed here for three nights, with the first night having beautiful weather and a stunning sunset over the sea, but unfortunately thereafter rain falling copiously, accompanied by wind.

The site is spacious, so you never feel crowded. This is mainly due to it being on a large slope or hillside, with platforms or banks created to make level places for tents.

This works really well, unless your tent happens to be a bit too big for the available plots. This was the case for us, and we were unable to pitch our 6m tent quite properly, resulting in rain coming in copiously at one end when the downpours began.

But our sleeping area remained dry, which surely is the main thing. Incidentally, if you pitch your tent higher up, you might have problems getting up there on the slippery grass with your vehicle if it’s wet, so be aware!

The location is beautiful, with lovely walks around. There is some distant rail/road noise, so not the quietest campsite I’ve ever been on, but I suspect it wouldn’t bother most people.

The village is quite close by, and we were able to watch the Euros games at the local football club, which was very friendly and welcoming.

There is a beautiful pass over the mountains to reach Conway (if you want to go there the pretty way), and the town itself is very cute although very much dependent on tourists by the look of it. We loved the castle, so interesting and imposing!

The showers were very reliable and clean, so no problems there. All in an all, a well-run campsite in a stunning location, with some small limitations as described above.

As always, a nice welcome and clear instructions after being shown to our pitch.

Lovely location on a hill but most pitches level.

Loo block basic but very clean and plenty of cubicles.

Showers bright, new and clean.

The site is immaculate with a good mix of camping and caravanning spaces.

The facilities are everything needed. Possibly a stool or chair in the accessible showers, makes life easier for disabled users who might need somewhere to sit and space for medical needs ie stoma equipment.

We had a sea view which was spectacular with fabulous sunsets with the gentle slope up to the hill range behind it’s a really lovely site.

A very peaceful place, host was so helpful sending us detailed information of how to get there.

Nice flat hard standing pitch enough for a few campervans.

Beautiful views.

Nice clean toilet facility.

Found the ducks and chickens very entertaining.

Plenty of space to walk our Springer Spaniel.

Had a lovely evening sat around the fire pit.

Highly recommend.

Will visit again.

A superb no frills basic campsite. All the basics are in place - good clean showers, toilets, washing up, etc.

The views are outstanding and the owners very helpful. Great beach 15 min walk away, great walking in the mountains behind campsite and lovely little town of Penmaenmawr 15 min walk.

Plus wonderful facilities of Llandudno and Conwy and the Snowdon zip wires within 30 min car ride.

The 10:30 curfew on noise and music is welcome.

Can be queues for facilities at busy times.

Road from Penmaenmawr can be tricky with a caravan, especially the initial turn.

Highly recommended and would go again.

Fantastic. This is a great site and the pitches are large, private and separated which as a camper and have been to many sites were cram them in rules, this site doesn't. And shouldn't change.

Another excellent point are the rules were stuck to. No music and quiet at 11pm.

There was no need to go to the warden at night when drink took over and the chat and music got louder.

Great site, relaxing and gets the right ambience so you don't have to worry about some late night partying.

The sound of sheep and birds at night and in the morning was brilliant and the views are amazing. Keep it as it is owners.

Stick to your rules and don't change them, you have a fantastic site😁👍
