First time camping here.
Owners really helpful and friendly.
Site has beautiful views and village and beach was within walking distance. 1st stop beach front cafe.
Toilet and shower blocks always clean but think if site full might have to wait as there only 2 showers for men and 3 for the ladies. Will stay again but will remember to bring plenty of midgy spray. (eaten alive 1st day)

Really can't fault the site! We were trying out camping with our young children for the first time so only stayed 2 nights but would definitely stay again. Toilet/shower/pot wash facilities look brand new and are very good. Small and basic site (with some electric hook-ups) but has wonderful views. Owner very friendly. If I'm being very picky, the site is mostly sloping so found myself rolling at night but that's to be expected on the side of a hill.

We visited this site a couple of years ago. Beautiful spot, and lots of space for kids to run around in. Very close to the beach, and lovely small grocer shop for ice-creams and supplies. The site itself is basic, with a couple of showers and toilets. Unfortunately we turned up this year without checking to find that it was closed. A notice in the gate suggested they may be re-opening this year. But worth ringing first.

Situated between a mountain and the sea, this site had beautiful views in all directions. Site was always quiet and I've spent many years going there on bank holidays, toilets and showers clean and the farmer came around on his quad bike in the mornings to collect your money.
Unfortunately the farmer has passed away and the site is no longer open.
RIP Mr Hughes.

Lovely campsite at the foot of the snowdonian mountain range. Basic amenities but the site has a rural natural charm with sea views over towards puffin island and anglesey. The affable farmer comes to collect funds in the morning (about a tenner for two). Fairy glen pub is ok in a beautiful setting. Campsite is a good base to explore north coast and is always pretty quiet, which means you don't have to be!

Super location, spectacular views. Plenty of room in large field. On this occasion one large family group took the edge of the seclusion by playing loud music until the small hours, but I think this was one of those one-offs that can happen at any site.
Be aware of the strictly basic facilities. Only warm water is the showers. That means no warm water to wash hands/face and no hot water for washing up. Be prepared to boil your own water to wash up and use the single sink on the outside of the toilet block.
The site is cheap if you are the only person in the tent but two adults plus two kids and one car came to £20 a night. This is a bit pricey for a site with such basic facilities.

Despite the awful July rain and wind we had a great weekend at trwyn yr wylfa campsite. I think due to to poor weather forecast the campsite was almost empty.
We had a nice pitch close to the toilet block and sheltered by the hedge row from the wind. The field was cut and well tended, toilet and shower block although very basic was clean and functionable.
I would recommend this site for a weekend away. For £5 per night per person you get what you pay for and this was the best value £5 camping I have ever had. The view alone is worth £5!
The only downsides were.
Midgies - Bitten all over!
1 mile to the nearest pub!

I have been visiting this part of Wales since childhood and I must say that all the view-points from this site are fantastic. You have the mountains on one side and the ocean the other side.
It is run by what I can only describe as the most friendliest gentleman I have ever met in my life. We just turned up and he was cutting the grass on the top field. He told us we could pitch anywhere we wanted but suggested a perfect level pitch on the higher field next to the water outlet under a tree.
The site is basic but has all you require for a perfect camping holiday and we were blessed by the best april weather I have ever seen.
The toilet/shower block is basic but kept to a very clean standard and there is loads of brochures to choose from to explore the area.
Children would love the mountains to explore and the village is only a 5 mins walk away with access to very clean beach. If you would like a little adventure then walk along the country road towards Conwy and you will find a public house called The Fairy Glen.
This is well worth a visit and to the side of this is an access road (dirt track) to snowdonia national park. The walk up here is not for the faint hearted but the views once up the top are again breath-taking.
Cant say enough nice things about this campsite. So please all try this one because you wont be dissapointed. I forgot to mention that its really cheap as well.
Think we only paid £6 each per night which is well worth it. Trust me once you have been once you will want to keep going back as we have been doing. Again this is an excellent site for all camping enthusiasts.

I have been using this camp site two or three times a year with a group of friends and family for the past three years.
Whilst the site is very basic with just a shower/toilet block, the stunning views across the sea, the magnificent sunset and the beautiful backdrop of Snowdonia National Park make this an exceptional place to be. Ideal for families, groups of friends and couples alike.
The farmer is lovely, always chatty and cheerful. We've only just got back but looking forward to going again in four weeks time.

Just visited this site and all I can say is BRILLIANT, the camp as some of the best views I have seen in a long while and if you climb the hill you have a spectacular view all round. The camp itself is set on a hill but there are flat parts to pitch your tent if you are not keen on the hill bit.
There are toilets and showers all kept in order by the gentleman that runs the site. The joy of this site is that you just turn up pitch your tent and have fun, you do not meet the owner until 9am every morning when he does his round to collect the fees which are the cheapest I have ever paid before. He didn't charge for our daughter at all and was very helpful and friendly
A must visit site, a site without all the fuss of others that I have visited, a untouched gem
