Fantastic campsite, with great views and everything you need for a basic stay.

Hot water, kettle, clean loos.

Quick access to trails, mountains and the T10 dropped us off at the door after a day walking other Slate Trail.

It’s an ideal location to explore the Nant Francon valley & beyond, plus a bonus that you can pay £5 for parking all day after we checked out to continue our weekend adventures!

Liked the toilet block, fire pits, level pitches and very quiet location.

We intended to do the Watkins path but chose the wrong weekend as it had been raining all week and then drowned us out on the Friday evening and all day on Saturday.

Hafod y Llan is perfect if you are looking for a basic campsite in a wonderful location.

It is quiet with the sounds of nature to enjoy and no cars are allowed on the two camping fields which we so appreciated.

The fire pits are great with firewood that easily burns.

Clean toilet block with hot showers but perhaps another WC in each would overcome the morning queue?

The Watkin Path to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is on the doorstep as is the river, and the waterfalls, to swim in and enjoy.

And well behaved dogs on leads are allowed.

Perfect campsite for walking up the Watkin path.

Set in absolutely beautiful surroundings each pitch has its own fire pit area with wooden seating you can also buy firewood on site.

The showers and toilets were extremely clean

We would definitely recommend and plan to stay here again.

This is a gorgeous little site. It's in a perfect location for the Watkin Path up to the summit of Snowdon, only a very short walk from the start of the path.

The waterfalls along the river, as it cascades down the mountain, are idyllic, and the pools are great for a refreshing dip on a warm day!

The facilities are clean and the shower is good and hot.

It's not too far from Beddgelert, only a short drive, for the shop and a choice of pubs.

£7 for firewood, purchased via an honesty box, with ready-made fire pits and railway sleepers for seats.

Downsides: the car is not allowed into the camping fields. There is only one shower in the gents. Water needs boiling before drinking.

Went for 1 night and omg what can I say

It was the best camp site I have EVER been too

I mean the atmosphere, the views, even down to the little things like a huge freezer to use

Just an amazing place and will definitely be coming back next year for a full week or two

10/10 marks

Absolutely beautiful campsite at the foot of the Watkin Path.

Toilets and showers were clean, fire wood available, freezer for ice blocks only, mobile phone charging point (however no WiFi or reception).

Fire pits and sitting benches available throughout the field. Really pleasant and helpful warden.

A small cafe just round the corner with WiFi.

Would definitely go again.

Quiet, friendly, clean campsite with good showers and toilets.

Close proximity to Snowdon was excellent, with access to the Watkin path on the doorstep.

Great to be reasonably near a village with a shop and places to eat.

Loved it all!

Absolutely fantastic campsite in an amazing location. There are few better places to stay than here. Right at the start of the Watkins path and 20 minutes from amazing swimming pools, but also off the beaten track so feels quiet (the walkers won't pass you). Has a safe family feel.

No internet is actually very nice (10 minutes away if you have to get reception). No shops. But in such an amazing spot you can arrive, park, and then not move for days on end, just exploring the mountains. (bus service to other 'start points' for long walks.

Negatives are small - the site is slightly sloping, there are not many toilets (a bit of a wait in the morning) and it can be midgy (this is N Wales though!). I'd give it 10/10 except for some farm dogs nearby that barked seemingly all night.

Kids never noticed but I was kept awake by them for more than I'd have liked. Ear plugs will sort the light sleepers. And tip - its cash payment in honesty box. So take notes and change.

If you are not sure you want mutliple nights just pay for one and keep adding (once paid there won't be a refund!)
