Best Campsite we have ever been on, we stayed a week and despite the rain on Tuesday and Wednesday,it was great fun, we had a campfire on two nights it cost £6 per night, for all the wood you could burn, which was good value for money! Our Warden Andrew was so laid back in his running of the campsite and leaves you till 6pm to decide if you want to stay another night, which is very good because if you got rained off, then you would not have had to pay another night for nothing! Andrew makes his rounds often and will do all he can to make your stay very enjoyable! The only downsides were that you need lots of 50p for the Showers, but you did get five minutes for your 50p, and it would be better to charge £4.00 a night and have free showers and while the toilets and showers were very clean, there was no hot water in the sinks which meant boiling a kettle to shave in the morning The only other problem was the track got a little muddy, but then it did rain, once on the site you never need to leave except to buy supplies, nearest shop 4 miles, there are lots of walks from the site and hill climbing across the river and we are already planning our next stay and will definitely be returning soon,

This is the lovliest campsite we have ever visited and continue to do so! The campsite is a small but cosy field sheltered by trees and a fast flowing river (very noisy) and should only be visited by people who are considerate and want that 'back to nature' experience. Noisy groups stay away!
Small but new toilet block with showers give a little bit of comnfort to the site. Its rough, its rugged and its great. You are also allowed open fires as there are fire pits with on site wood at £6 a night.
Noise after 10pm won't by tolerated by the on-site warden who is a gem.
