The first of three campsites along the road to Aberbran and the only one with on site facilities (showers, toilets, washing up). Great location next to the river.
The shower block was cleaned once or twice a day. The site welcomes groups but no bother with these during our stay on site.
We were given a rendition of 'Delilah' at 11/11. 30pm by a large group on the site across the river! Kay and Dai welcoming. No TV or radio signal but surprisingly mobile data worked. However, the site does have wifi.
We would stay again.

Had the pleasure of a short break here and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The location was absolutely stunning and we pitched right next to the River Usk.
On arriving David couldn’t do enough to help and made us feel extremely welcome.
The site toilet/shower facilities were absolutely spotless whatever time of the day we used them and the showers themselves are really spacious.
I used the ones in the main toilet block but they also have a disabled/family shower as well ( a small token charge for family shower but less able bodied can use these facilities for free-just to add that the main showers are also free )
Fire pits are also allowed to be used which made our last night extremely cosy- we’d not taken our own as so many sites don’t allow so we were loaned one by David! Logs and fuel can be purchased on site at a really good price.
The washing up room was also absolutely spotless. The site also has a lovely wooden play area for children and lots of space to burn off energy.
This site was an absolute gem of a find by my partner and it definitely won’t be our last visit. Located near Brecon and Hay on wye.
If you want Late night shenanigans and partying then this isn’t the site for you (Thank God!) Aberbranfawr is a family site but peaceful and tranquil as well, which is just what we both needed! Thank you David and co.

Lovely site, friendly and quiet.
However, there need to be more shower and toilet facilities.
Only 2 toilets and showers for females and same for males which resulted in queues for both.
Apart from that very nice.

Great campsite with decent shower/toilet facilities.
Big pitches and despite it being middle of summer the campsite was only half full when we stayed.
Quick email response.
You can get beer from the pub and take it with you to enjoy at the campsite.
We may have been lucky but it was very quiet in the evenings.

Lovely stay on a level grassy pitch with electric. Easy to find about 4 miles from Brecon, just off the A40 on the banks of the River Usk.
This is a working farm with 3 camping areas, 2 with EHU and one huge field on the river bank without EHU. Basic toilets & showers in an old farm building.
As this is a working farm you may hear cows & sheep and at times there is a farmyard whiff in the air and the noise of farm machinery but this really isn't a problem as the site is generally very peaceful.
You can use firepits which are available on site and bags of logs are available at a charge. The owners are very pleasant. Freshly made cakes are available from the farm.

On our first night we stayed with electric hook up close to the toilet and shower block, it was fine but the river bank is very steep in that part, so we moved for the second night to the next field at the western end of the site which was ideal although no electric hook up available there, very quiet and peaceful.
There is some traffic noise from the nearby A40.
Dave, the site warden, was friendly and helpful; the site is kept in good condition, and the toilets and showers are clean and tidy.
Will definitely be going back.

Amazing place! We were a little apprehensive starting to camp again after lockdown, but they have made us feel so welcome and assured. The campsite is absolutely spotless!
We can not fault them, and will definitely stay here again for sure.
Thank you UKCampsite for the recommendation! Your service was fantastic 👍🏼

The campsite is situated roughly 4 miles from Brecon town centre. There's a bus stop at the end of the road allowing easy access to the town centre if you don't want to drive or walk.
The campsite was well preened with the caravan field being very level.
The warden - Dai - was lovely and also very helpful.
The facilities seemed to struggle to cope with the volume of people with queues at times for the washing facility.
The showers could do with renovating but aside from that it was a pleasant place to visit.
The cost for the two nights including electricity was £52.

Lovely campsite right next to the River Usk. Great warm welcome from Dai the warden and his wife, Shower/ toilet block is very clean, children’s play area with swings, slide, monkey bars etc. Is great for the kids, lots other families stayed there when we were there and all kids got on great with one another, kids swam in river everyday and used tree swing to jumping into river ( and Dads, lol),
campsite is lovely and flat and very well kept our youngest daughter learned to ride bike without stabilisers for first time on the grass here.
Aberbran farm cream tea’s next door to site are lovely and can try out PYO fruit if like, campsite only 3 miles from Brecon which is lovely town.
Recommend this site and will definitely be returning.
