Just got back from aberbran fawr, great little site, great setting, we had 4 adults, 3 teenagers, 3 pre schoolers and a toddler in our party, and there was plenty to keep all amused, with walks along the very nice river, and the field for flying kites and ball games.
Great that you could have a camp fire, nothing better than at the end of the day sitting under the stars toasting marshmallows and having a nice glass of red! and little ones all tucked up in the tent!
The owners are very nice people, not pushing rules and regs on you and doos and donts like most sites, if you want ammusments and night life this isnt for you, if you want nice and peacfull and make you own fun then get your tent!
The only slight fly in the ointment (so to speak) is the toilet and shower block, does the job but could do with a womans touch! other than that 10/10. We will be back!

The site is basically a long field with EHU points running down one side. The other side is next to a river with no hookups. There are wooden sheds near the middle of the EHU side which houses four toilets and two showers which are free and hot. There are no dedicated facilities for washing dishes and there weren't any hot water taps. The facilities are, however, clean and do the job!
There was a bit of confusion when we arrived for our two day break. The campsite entrance is further down the road than the farmhouse so it's a good idea to stop at the farmhouse first to pay for the pitch. The farmhouse is the first building on the left as you turn into the lane from the main road. There is another campsite over the bridge and further down the lane called Aberbran Fach Farm,. Make sure you don't go here to pay for the pitch in Aberbran Fawr Farm!
It was a fairly quiet site when we went and good if you want to explore Brecon town, Pen-Y-Fan and other Beacons' attractions. The only gripe I have is unavailability of EHU for the tent, even though I had emailed to check first and sent in a booking form requesting this. A genuine mistake no doubt but annoying because we could have had more space in the car without our leccy equipment. I also had trouble with my mobile (O2), the reception was unstable. Not the campsites fault but check network availability in this area of the Beacons before you go.
Generally good site, friendly people. If anything is happening in this neck of the woods in future, then I will probably book in again.

Great site toilet and show basic but clean. Next to the river some great walks. The farm has pick your own fruit which went down well with the kids. Some great walks and brecon is not far away. Also you can have a camp fire as long as its of the ground. Great place will be going back very soon

Great little site, I would recommend this site for backpacking or just simply to get away from it all.
Great little site for the family and children with PYO fruit on site when in season.
Within five miles of Brecon less than two miles from the Beacons visitor centre

A quite and idylic site with the river Usk running through the site within five miles of Brecon,
A flat field well cut, this is a working farm, also fresh farm produce, including pick your own fruit in season.
The ideal location for exploring the Brecon Beacons area and walking.
Five minutes from the Beacons Mountains visitor centre.
Trout fishing available by purchasing a day ticket.
We love the site, a very friendly owner always willing to help and offer advice (Andy).
