Lovely warm welcome, it's on top of a hill so no midges.

Clean toilets.

Basic campsite but reasonably priced.

Campsite surrounded by fantastic walking routes.

No showers on site but lovely clean toilets

This is much more of a traditional campsite with the basic facilities and no frills.

Gorgeous location with walking from the doorstep ( beware it is at the top of a steep hill). Surrounded by farmland and with far reaching views.

Helmsley is walkable if you are quite fit; a lovely market town with plenty of places to eat and drink and lots to see. Rievaulx Abbey is the area's must-see and there are lots of footpaths for exploring the area.

Site has two loos/washrooms. Fairly basic but clean with hot water and room to have a proper wash as there is no shower.

A nice warm welcome from Sheila and good instructions about access etc. Wouldn't hesitate to return

We felt like we were on top of the world! Friendly welcome, slightly sloping grass pitch, choose your own.

We parked looking out over rolling hills. Seasoned Walkers to Rievaulx Abbey & Helmsley although a little hilly on way back.

Electric provided at extra cost, toilet and washing although no sink for washing up and we didn’t look for showers as we have on board.

Very quiet and isolated site. We liked it.

 Beautiful peaceful site.

Photos do not do it justice, helpful friendly owners, sheep and birds for company.

More than adequate toilets with washbasins and drinking water.

Peaceful retreat in the hills.

This campsite is a real gem especially if you like quiet sites, it’s a wee bit off the beaten track and that makes it special,

The owners are very nice friendly people,

The site is slightly sloping,

The nearest shops or pubs are at Helmsley which is 4. 5 miles away,

Loved this place and coming back in September

The owners are a very nice and pleasant couple

Toilets are very clean but no showers

If you are looking for basic site with peace and quiet I would recommend this site

If you love peace and tranquillity, this is for you! A nice change from the more commercial sites.

Very handy for Rievaulx, Helmsley, ect. Run by a lovely, friendly couple.

Plus we got a small show from the Northern Lights!
