We have visited this site many times in the past and was a little disappointed that the bottom toilets weren't cleaned at all during our 2 night stay, although the warden was cleaning the roof of his caravan. This site had loo of the year awards last year and must admit the warden then was great, she visited the toilets last thing and first thing every day and restocked. Perhaps a little more care needs to be taken as it didn't meet the standards you would expect from the CC& C. All I want is a clean loo and sink and it being well stocked.
Other than that, we were happy with this site. We did have torrential rain and it drained really quickly which is a godsend this summer! We will go back even though weren't so happy this time round.

The site was near full and yet we couldn't see another tent from our little clearing in the woods. A lovely private, sheltered spot. Our young children enjoyed their little adventures into the woods. I enjoyed the 'away from it all' feeling.
Facilities were of typical C&CC high standard.
We saw little of the local area because we were too 'busy' relaxing!

Spent 2 nights at this lovely site. The owner was very friendly - it had been raining heavily before we arrived and he was very apologetic that the pitch was so wet, lent us a garden fork to try and drain it and checked up on us later. We checked for flint as advised on this forum but found that squirrel-chewed pine cones were more of a problem! This site was so quiet and peaceful we will definitely revisit. Our first night saw horrendous rain and wind but everything withstood it - the approach to the campsite though is deeply rutted and was under water! Petworth house is worth a visit we didn't have time to go anywhere else except for a windy walk along Bognor seafront. Can recommend the chip shop in Petworth but the Indian restaurant was very expensive and my OH is convinced they used a jar of curry sauce! Toilets and showers were clean though might of had to queue if there had been more people on site as there were only 3 showers in the block. Our 3 boys were happy exploring the woods and rope swing though my eldest scratched his legs on some barbed wire so beware.

I have just returned from a one night stay at Graffham - a small tent, I was cycling half of the South Downs Way - from Winchester. I arrived late on sunday afternoon and the wardens were SO friendly and helpful. The chap showed me to one of the 'managers' pitches. It was level, seclued, well drained (it rained solidly all night - but dried out beautifully in no time next morning) and close to the facilities. It was so quiet and woody that it was hard to know how many other people were there. All in all,a terrific place, will be back soon, in our campervan, I hope. I had a beer (or two) in The White Horse pub, it was quiet at about 4pm sunday , but very chatty and friendly locals, good ale too!

Just returned from a very enjoyable and relaxing few nights at this site.
The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and after one very stormy night even thought to ask if the dogs had been OK.
The facilities were clean and well maintained and the reception area had ice creams. The children were thrilled! It was nice that vehicles were restricted during the evening/night and there was a general air of courtesy concerning noise and music.
The absence of traffic noise was lovely and the complete darkness made the stars look incredible which made my daughter's 3am trip to the toilet worthwhile!
The local pubs were not cheap to eat in but the food was fantastic and well worth the money.
Definitely a site I would visit again.

What a beautiful and friendly site!
We were found a lovely pitch at very short notice and booked on the phone, arrived at 8pm on the dot (last arrival time) and were shown to our pitch by a very helpful member of staff.
The site really is quite lovely - very wooded, with well secluded pitches in little 'dells' in many cases.
Lots of fun for the kids to play hide and seek and to build 'camps' in the woods.
The toilets were always clean and well stocked with toilet roll and the showers (free) were very hot. There is also teh use of a hairdryer for 20p.
Washing up facilities are also good. And there is a recycling point on site.
The only downside (if it is one) is that it's too far to walk to anything with a child - Pub is a 5 minute car drive, maybe a fit person would walk but it's down unlit country roads so not very safe.
Petworth is 10 minutes away by car for shopping and lots of other great stuff, the House and Park are lovely.
I couldn't really fault this site and will definitely be returning.

What a lovely site, one of the best that we have visited so far. The manager is very helpful, the site is very clean and every pitch is secluded. For those who enjoy wildlife it's a must, we watched the rabbits, birds, deer and bats! Already booked for next month.

Being new comers to the camping scene we arrived not sure what to expect. Annette and Bob were wonderfully helpful picking our site, letting us know where everythig was. All facilities were spotless. One nearby pub White horse, had lovely friendly staff and food. Was lovely couple of mile walk but this just helped us walk off the food on the way back! We will surely be back soon.

Return visit to one of our favourite sites, lovely pitch and although we were not far from the next pitch the trees in between made it feel very private. Woodpecker and cuckoo took turns to wake us up at 7am so no alarm clock needed lol.
Bird song was all we could hear for the entire weekend.
Walks in the woods were lovely and the bluebells were just reaching full flower so absolutely breathtakingly blue !
I used our vans facilities, but my OH said the site facilities were beautifully clean.
I think the wardens are new to the site and they were really nice and welcoming and sorted out our water problem (couldn't get our motor home filled up) quickly and efficiently with real good humour.
I couldn't recommend this site enough !

We had a wonderful visit, despite very cold overnight, temperatures (there was frost on the field adjacent to the campsite in the early morning). The site managers were extremely helpful, and found us a good pitch in its own small clearing (as are most pitches in this woodland site). The site was relatively empty, and there were no other tents or caravans near to ours, so in effect we were camping on our own in the middle of a wood. The birds singing in the morning were almost overwhelming, and within the space of 24 hours one robin had made friends with us to the extent of flying into the tent and hopping about on the floor. This charmed the children, as did the fact that they could roam free on the site, including expeditions up to the hill at one side of the site, where there are no pitches.
Facilities were good; we only visited one of the two toilet blocks, but this was immaculately clean, with free showers, toilets, wash basins in cubicles and a separate washing up room. It also had very welcome heating. As the site was not full, there was no pressure on facilities at all, though at busy times perhaps there is.
The local countryside is beautiful (the site is adjacent to National Trust land, so there seemed to be plenty of walks nearby, though we didn't explore far in our short stay). Places to visit in the area include the ancient yew woods at Kingley Vale, the Roman villa at Fishbourne, and the Wetland Centre at Arundel. Petworth is extremely pretty and we found good curry there.
I would very much recommend a visit to this site. Due to the woodland location, the pitches are a bit lacking in grass, but the ground was well-drained, and even after very heavy rain on the morning we arrived, mud wasn't a problem. Watch out for the midges though . . . There were a few around even in chilly April.
