This is our third visit to this site and as always everything was great. Pitches are spacious and there is a choice of grass or hardstanding. We like the fact that tents wanting hook up can pitch in amongst caravans and motor homes.
The facilities are excellent, always spotlessly clean and warm. I used the family room for my grandson who spent a couple of nights with us. The owners are helpful and obliging and we liked the new reception/shop area.
The weather was good when we were there but even if it had rained a lot it looked as if the site would be very free draining. Usk is a lovely little town and has a privately owned castle with wonderful views, well worth a visit. We will definitely come again.

Just returned from 4 nights at this wonderful site, the first thing to mention is the stay was too short! Our group of 7 did not want to leave on our last day.
The facilities were brilliantly clean and well looked after. The washing up room and showers had an excellent supply of very hot water.
The site Owners Brian and Rose were extremely helpful, providing us with information brochures for local attractions and even printed directions from the internet for us! They even let us borrow the hover to suck the air out of our storage bags. We had a half pitch to ourselves as our tent was large and we had 2 cars, the other campers on our pitch were really friendly and had lots of tips for our future camping trips (this was our first!)
I couldn’t recommend this site highly enough!

We had visited this site many years ago with a tent, had a great time then. However, this visit was with our first Caravan.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, nor for those who were staying on the site, we needed a bit of help setting up!
The site is so clean and the dog walk was fab.
We hope to return soon but you have to book in advance.

A gem of a site. We chose the site on the back of the reviews here and weren't disappointed. The site is fairly large though not over crowded at all. It is divided into smaller fields with low hedges which give a feeling of privacy.
There are a number of what looked like more permanent caravans and lots of space for tourers, though there were some tents pitched in amongst them we opted for the camping field. This has no EHU and is a small field for about 10 tents at the far end of the site. It is surrounded by woodland and away from the road.
There is a dog walking path beside it was well used. There is also an adult only field for caravans and tourers. The facilities were spotless, they are fairly new and had toilets a laundry and a TV room.
The owners were very helpful and friendly. They should be commended on such a well managed site. There is a pub within walking distance which has pleasant views across the river Usk but nothing to write home about if you're looking for food and we found it hard to find any nice eateries in Abergavenny though Usk has some lovely places if you're looking for a break from cooking.

This is my favourite weekend away. Used this site many weekends, it is a beautiful site with many caravans sited. A very warm welcome with the owner Brian riding around the site to check everyone is ok. The site is right next to the river it is very peaceful site.
There is a adult only site as well as a separate camping area. A 2 minute walk to the local chain bridge pub with serves very nice meals a few minutes further is a golf club which you can also go for meals. Usk is a 10 minute drive away.
The toilet block is always spotless and lovely hot showers all the time. For a peaceful relaxing site its well worth a visit You will need to book early as its a very popular site

Stayed at this site for two nights in lovely spring weather. We had a fully serviced hardstanding in the adults only section of the site. Excellent dog walk.
Toilets were spotless and warm, Also there was a tv room open 24 hours, allowed me to go and read in the middle of the night without disturbing him indoors. Tv not yet tuned to digital but that was no loss for me. Small camping area on site which my daughter intends to try ASAP.
It was clear that some of the vans were there for the season but all looked tidy and well kept. The warden was very friendly and eager to help
The site is right along side the river usk and the Usk Valley walk. We thoroughly enjoyed walking a round trip and had an evening meal in the Chain Bridge Pub a few hundred yards away from the site. Apparently this pub will not be opening on Monday nights, but the meal we had on Tuesday night was first class, ample portions and well priced.
Lots to do in the local area, close to Abergavenny and Usk. Great walking country and close to national cycle routes.
We will return.

We have just returned from our 2 night camping trip at pont kemys. We had a lovely time and was really pleased with the site. The site was really nice with very good facilities. Anything it didn't have was only a few minutes away. We had a lovely secluded spot and with the toddlers was very safe. The dog walking area was really good and was lovely to go down to the river. Hopefully we will return to try it out again!

Superb site which drained quite well - we did have a lot of rain during our stay. Riverside location and picturesque views. Facilities spotless and more than adequate, including a television room which we would not normally bother with but found useful in view of the weather. Owners friendly and helpful - in fact everything entirely satisfactory apart from shop which is a bit small and not very well stocked. However the owner's house is being extended to create a better reception and shop and should be finished soon. There is a place where children can play football but we did not see any other play area. Small children would need to be watched because of the river. We would certainly use this site again.

This is definitely one of our favourite campsites.
It is a great location (loads of spectacular walks nearby), it's a very nicely laid out cosy site, and it has very good facilities.
It's one of those places where they've 'gone the extra mile' to think of everything, and to create a nice atmosphere.
For example, different sections of the site are separated by well-kept hedges. And the owners are constantly busy keeping things tidy and maintaining the grass.
There's also a nice little enclosed play area/football pitch, which is good for kids.
The only problem, of course, is that it is popular and so you will almost certainly have to book.
One negative point (which is not the fault of the campsite) is that the nearby pub, which has so much potential, is disappointing.
Instead, take the short drive to the Nag's Head at Usk, or go into Abergavenny.

We have visited this site on numerous occasions and are always highly impressed by the cleanliness of the toilet / showers etc and the welcome given by the owners. The area in general never fails to impress, even in the not so good weather. The market at Abergavenny is a must for bargain hunters.
We usually opt to pitch on the Adults only field as this suits our needs exactly in its quietness and pretty surroundings but we have used the main field when the family come with us and this is also very good.
We would recommend this site to anyone and we will continue to visit it on a regular basis.
