This was a very good campsite located in a lovely part of South Wales with Abergavenny being just 15 minutes away.
Although it's a touring park, most of the pitches seem to be taken by seasonal tourers, so in the week the site was very quiet.
When we arrived we were quickly shown to a choice of two hardstandings. TV reception is rubbish but you can plug into the sites antenna, there are sockets on each EHU post for this. Our TV cable wasn't long enough but the owner kindly loaned one to us.
The toilets and showers were very clean and there was never a queue.
There is a small shop on site which stocks basic supplies.
My only complaint is minor, although wi-fi is free to use, the signal strength from our pitch was a bit rubbish, perhaps more boosters are needed. A small play park may also be useful for entertaining the little ones.

This is a really lovely site. We stayed in the adults only fully serviced section. We did have problems with the electric hook-up a few times when the trip switch was activated. To be fair it was very cold and we did have the heating on in the caravan and then probably overloaded the system with our kettle! The site is immaculately kept, very well organised and in a lovely setting. The toilets and showers are probably the cleanest we have ever seen. We are so glad we have found this site and will definitely be back. There are plenty of places to eat in Usk which is only 4 miles away.
Would recommend Pont Kemys Caravan Site to anyone.

We booked this site because of good reviews on UKCampsite.co.uk. They were right - lovely site. Spacious pitches, we had hardstanding and nice to have picnic tables available for most pitches.
Park is beautifully kept and the toilet block spotless. This was warm once the windows and doors and roof vent got closed in the evening - seems a waste to let it get cold during the day!
The TV lounge is a nice touch with books to read.
Excellent dog walk with big field at the end to walk round.
Shame the Chainbridge pub opposite site is closed but the Black Bear Inn in Bettws Newydd (about 1 mile away) is lovely place although only open Wed to Sunday lunchtime. Drinks are reasonable but the food is expensive but excellent and good for a 'treat'.
There is no where to go really there unless you have transport but beautiful relaxing site.

We were over from Australia for the summer and because we have family in the area we stayed at Pont Kemys 3 times between May and August with our borrowed touring caravan.
We found the location, next to the river Usk between Abergavenny and Usk town, to be picture perfect. Easily accessible and well sited for day trips to Abergavenny, the Brecon Beacons, the Big Pit at Blaenavon or any of the many picturesque towns in the east of Monmouthshire such as Monmouth, Usk or Caerleon.
The park facilities were always spotless and we found the friendliness and helpfulness of Rose and Brian and their staff to be second to none.
We would highly recommend both the location and the park as it was one of the nicest of our stay in the UK.

We have been using this site, since we've had a caravan, 4 years now, as it's close to our home in Bristol - but feels a million miles from home when we're there! It was recommended by our daughter who had previously used the tent camp site there.
Pont Kemys was the first ever site we used. We've used many since, but have found nothing to better it.
The site is beautifully cared for; the loos and showers are excellent, always squeaky clean, even at busy times. I feel upset by a previous negative comment that the showers are timed. They are - but all you have to do is press a button to continue, and they are free!
There's a good dog walk, plus a huge field - so good for doggy owners. Please remember to pick up!
If you want site wardens / owners to fuss over you, forget it! Rosie and her husband are delightful people who want you to enjoy what they provide without their interference - but will be on hand to help if you need them
There is an adult only area on this site which I used on my last visit as that was the only space available. Usually we use the general site which is lovely - spaces for 4 vans in hedged areas; great if you want a family / friends get-together, but many larger areas too. There are lots of picnic tables in each area.
If I was told I could only go to one caravan site for the rest of my life Pont Kemys would be the one!

This was our seventh or eighth visit to the site, this time over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend and following week. We keep returning because of the excellent facilities and great location.
On arrival the owners are very friendly and pleasant. The area is quiet and peaceful with large flat well drained pitches (essential with the weather this year!). The toilet/shower block is kept immaculately clean even when the site is very busy. The shop is well stocked and the prices are good (recommend the local honey).
The location is ideal for Usk and Abergavenny so giving excellent access to the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains for walks and views (not to mention some lovely pubs to gain refreshment and food afterwards!).
We will certainly visit again.

Owners were very helpful (but could smile a bit more) on arrival and showed our group to the pitch, which was level and huge. Was also near the river which runs alongside the campsite. The owner brought over a picnic table for our exclusive use as well.
Toilets and facilities were very clean, with loads of free hot showers. Only having to queue once at 'rush hour'.
Location was great for exploring the area.
There's a small field suitable for kids to play on, but apart from two goalposts there's not much else for them. Though there is a TV lounge, which could do with updating but was adequate for the kids when bored. There's also an adult only area and another camp field, without EHU which looked picturesque.
The small on site shop was fairly well stocked and reasonably priced.
Lovely site - the only downside was the pitch we had was surrounded by the roadway which gave the feeling that we were camped on a roundabout - also the owners golf buggy got a little annoying especially as he started it up at early at 8 every morning and used it continually throughout the day.
Would visit again but would ask for the bottom field and forgo the ECU, for the lovely location.

Just returned from a 3 night stay across Diamond Jubilee BH weekend, myself, my Husband & our dog.
Absolutely loved this site! All pitches were of more than generous size & very well situated. Lawns were immaculate, lovely array of mature & sapling trees.
This was our first visit & definitely won't be our last. We have already booked another three night stay across August BH weekend & may even 'squeeze' another visit in between!
Highly recommended site for touring caravans, motorhomes & tents alike.

Just returned from a three night stay here in showery April. Well it is Wales! Endorse all previous reviews. Lovely campsite in gorgeous setting on the banks of the River Usk. Well run, proudly looked after and managed by people who want their guests to enjoy their stay and then come back. Facilities clean, functional and warm. Laundry room radiator was great for drying our damp towels on. You will need a car to explore the region or a cycle to ride to nearby towns such as Usk or Abergavenny. Both very interesting and busy country towns with lots of history and activities to suit all tastes. Literally. Especially on their market days.

This park was lovely, quiet & offered great value for money.
The nearby pub has closed down. The Royal Oak in Usk, was recommended, which was well worth the drive.
Positives:
There is a small shop in reception that sells basics.
The owner was very helpful & friendly.
The park was well laid out, clean, tidy & peaceful.
We particularly liked having the adult only area.
There is a very nice dog walk behind the site.
The shower facilities were very nice, clean & warm.
Negatives:
The only negative was the showers being timed.
