Fantastic site with fabulous water play area for kids including pirate ship with its own "plank". Play areas are a real delight and the facilities are excellent - certainly enough to keep the family fully amused. The River Dart Country Park also offers "adventures" for kids which inlcude an indoor climbing wall, special super zip line, canooing plus various other stunt-like activities which do cost extra but are reasonable value. The toilets/showers were very good with individual vanity cubicles and showers were FOC. The club house offers three pool tables, reasonable arcade style games and an adaquate lunch/evening menu. In high season there are two videos shown per night at 7pm & 9pm on a very large screen - perfect for the children and gives the adults a bit of peace & quiet. During our time we were offered such films as "Shrek", "Free Willy", "Lilo & Stitch" & "Cats and Dogs". There is a small snack bar at lunchtimes which is marginally cheaper, an excellent shop and a small but good swimming pool available to campers only. Every activity is supervised. Pitches are spacious and have good drainage. We paid around £200 for the week which is rather expensive, but with all on offer turned out to be good value. The only downside for us was that we probably picked the only week of the summer holidays where it rained every single day! The scenery is beautiful and lush - perhaps the rain is responsible for that! I am more than happy to recommend this site, despite the rain!

Fantastic 90 acre 4 star site, situated within a mile of Dartmoor National Park. Great for children with a large woodland play area and fort, large lakes with rafts etc. The pitches are good and are not too hemmed in. I only live 20 miles away but go at least twice a year !! You wont be disappointed !!
