A very tidy quiet site but with limited facilities, yes quiet despite the proximity of the main A350 trunk road.
The single toilet block whilst spotlessly clean for the men only has 2 toilets, 2 showers and 2 hand basins.
The weekend we went it was very busy and felt somewhat crowded with limited room between the pitches.
The owner was a very nice chap but did ask us not to play games around the tents and vans. However the play area despite being very nice is unfortunately behind a high hedge which meant it was not possible to leave our young children (2 and 5) to play unattended, likewise the playfield is not central to the campsite being behind the caravan field and again another high hedge, therefore its of little use for any younger children.
All in all a very well kept quiet site but not recommended if you have boisterous children who need space to play close to your unit under supervision.

Stayed for 1 night on a gloriously sunny weekend and had a great time. A small, well kept site with a great little play area for the children and located in very pretty surroundings. A 10 minute walk from Lacock which is like stepping back in time and well worth a visit and then a short drive from Westonbirt Arboretum which is a great day out even if you're not into trees! Definitely a site I'd go back to.

This is an excellent site, well kept and the facilities are spotless.
The only problem I had was filling the water tank as most of the taps are located behind pitches and the taps are of the domestic home type. Managed to get it done after a bit of a struggle. Otherwise a lovely place to stay.

We stayed at Piccadilly over the Easter weekend along with our friends – it was our first trip away in our new caravan so we wanted to go somewhere not too far away from our home in Swindon to try everything out. In total along with our friends there were 9 of us (4 adults, 5 children all 10 and under).
The site is immaculate, a bit like a large garden with beautiful grass and small neatly trimmed hedges serving as boundaries between the various parts of the site, some of the pitches are hard standing. The site is quite small (about 43 pitches) mainly catering for caravans and motor homes with a small tent field. The majority (if not all) of the caravan pitches have electric hook-ups. The toilet and shower block is spotless and there are plenty of taps around the site to fill up. There is a great little field for ball games, a dog walking area and a childrens playground that all our kids loved. Although there is no shop, Lacock village is only a 2 min drive or 10min walk away where there is a small shop and there are supermarkets in Chippenham about 10min drive away. Lacock itself is beautiful, a bit like going back 200 years and the abbey (National Trust) is the setting of choice for countless period dramas plus many scenes from the ‘Harry Potter’ films.
The owner is brilliant, very friendly and showed us to our pitch and helped me reverse in to position. If you want a quiet and peaceful break in beautiful surroundings then this site is highly recommended, we will definitely be going back.

We had a lovely weekend here. The site was as well maintained as the other reviews submitted suggested and we had the whole tenting field to ourselves. The kids loved the play area and it felt very safe to let them run around. There was a bit more road noise from the main road than we expected, but we are country bumpkins used to a very quiet village. The surrounding area was lovely and Lacock itself is well worth a visit.

I've just got back from a weekend here. I met up with my Mum and Dad who were in a tent. The owner, Mr Williams, runs this lovely site beautifully! He's an incredibly helpful chap and very amenable.
The facilities are fine and absolutely spotless - Mr Williams does it all himself. The site is very well manicured - I've never seen such well trimmed bushes! There are plenty of taps dotted about for water. Although I didn't use them, the laundrette and wash up area looked good. The pitches are very generous and arranged in small groups so you never get a feeling of being crammed in. Indeed, the site was full with a Caravan Club rally.
The play park was well used by my girls and comprises of swings, rocking horse type toy, monkey bars, balance beams all ina mini adventure type assault course. There is a separate area for ball games and another separate area for dog walking - all of which is excellently maintained!.
I'll definitely be returning in the near future.

Ive been coming here for years I love the place. Quiet and friendly, clean toilets and showers, and the village of Lacock is lovely, a great choice of pubs to eat at. Just have to be a bit careful of crossing the main road if walking into the village though, its a busy one.

We stayed at this lovely site in October of last year because we wanted to visit Longleat (which is about 40 minutes drive). You feel as though you are in a big garden with neat lawns and herbaceous borders. There is a hedge which divides the main part of the site and you can walk through the gaps to get to the toilet and showers block. There is another area at the front of the site and to the left hand side is a camping field. The toilets and showers are quite modern and we always found them clean. Although we didn't need to use it, we noticed that the washing-up area has it's own enclosed room and was absolutely spotless. The owner was very friendly and as we have three young children, he put us near the children's play area which was great. Whist there, we visited Lacock, a beautiful village famous for being the location for numerous period dramas including my favourite, "Pride and Prejudice" and the abbey used for filming Harry Potter. If you want a peaceful stay in a quiet location then this site is definitely worth considering.

Booked for a long weekend at the end of July, with some friends. Lovely well laid out site, with areas separated by bushes, so you didn't feel on top of each other. Located far enough away from the main road for it to be quiet. Good shower/toilet and washing up area which was kept very clean and nicely located between the two fields so easy access for everyone. A separate field at the bottom of the campsite for ball games, which was great, kids went off and didn't come to any harm, although the pitches had loads of room for them to play. Makes a good base for visiting the surrounding area - Will definitely return for a weekend break.

This is a wonderful site, clean and pleasant with a very helpful owner - very useful if new to reversing! Showers and toilets were very clean, although could queue for showers. The site's greatest asset is its location, only 5 minutes walk from Lacock, a fantastic, friendly period village with several pubs and restaurants. This is a site we would have no hesitation in returning to.
